    摘要: A method and air separation plant for the distillative cryogenic separation of feed air in a distillation column system of an air separation plant at different distillation pressures, wherein all of the feed air in a total air quantity is compressed to a first pressure level that is at least 4 to 5 bar above the highest of the distillation pressures, and from the total air quantity a first part air quantity is first cooled to a first temperature level of 130 to 170 K and then compressed to a second pressure level that is at least 10 bar above the first pressure level, and a second part air quantity is first cooled to a second temperature level of 110 to 150 K and then expanded to a third pressure level that is below the first pressure level.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for air separation by cryogenic distillation in a double or triple air separation column. The column in the system with the highest operating pressure is said to be operating at medium pressure. All the air to be distilled is pressurized to a high pressure, which is about 5 bar greater than the medium pressure. The air is purified at this high pressure, and a portion of the purified air is cooled in a heat exchange line, while another portion is expanded in a turbine. Part of the cooled air is drawn from the exchange line with a cold booster, which is mechanically coupled to at least one turbine. An energy dissipation device is also provided which is coupled to the turbine not coupled to the cold booster. The energy dissipation device is either another booster, an oil break system, or an electrical generator.

    摘要: A first stream of air is compressed in a main air compressor and a booster compressor is cooled at a first pressure by passage through a main heat exchanger. The cooled stream is introduced without further compression into the higher pressure column of a double rectification column including in addition to the column a lower pressure column and a condenser-reboiler. A second stream of compressed air is expanded from a second pressure in an expansion turbine with the performance of external work. The expanded second stream of air is introduced into the lower pressure column. An oxygen product, typically impure, is taken from the bottom region of the lower pressure column. The second pressure is less than the first pressure column. The second pressure is less than the first pressure, the second air stream being taken from intermediate the compressors.
