Abstract:
The louver 1 includes a first member 2 including a lid portion 22, slits 24 disposed at intervals from the lid portion 22, and rising portions 25 and rising portions 26 extending from peripheral edge portions of the slits 24 toward one side in a depth direction and a second member 3 including a lid portion 32, slits 34 disposed at intervals from the lid portion 32, and rising portions 35 and rising portions 36 extending from the peripheral edge portions of the slits 34 toward the other side in the depth direction. The first member 2 and the second member 3 are disposed to face each other and the slits 24 of the first member 2 and the slits 34 of the second member 3 are disposed to be shifted from each other.
Abstract:
A method for providing personalized comfort to occupants of an environmentally conditioned space includes sensing a pre-adjustment pressure within a variable air volume diffuser, remotely adjusting a position an individually-adjustable directional outlet of the variable air volume diffuser, sensing a post-adjustment pressure within the variable air volume diffuser, and modifying the airflow through the variable air volume diffuser such that the post-adjustment pressure is equal to the pre-adjustment pressure. The variable air volume diffuser includes individually-adjustable directional outlets and a controller configured to regulate air pressure within the variable air volume diffuser when an individually adjustable directional outlet is adjusted. A user device in operative communication with the variable air volume diffuser includes a user interface to remotely adjust an adjustable directional outlet of the variable air volume diffuser to provide personalized comfort for the user. In embodiments, the variable air volume diffuser responds to spoken commands.
Abstract:
A flow of air through a diffuser (10) is controlled by controlling the volumetric flow rate of the flow of air in a control passage, directing the air through a diffusion flow passage, and then either diffusing the air in a first, normal direction, or occasionally diffusing it in a second direction, to dump the air into a room. The air is dumped by operating a dump mechanism (26) to displace a dump element (28,46) from a first diffusion position in which the flow of air is directed in the first diffusion direction, along a ceiling, to a second diffusion position in which the dump element (28,46) redirects the flow of air to dump it.
Abstract:
Air and room cleaning device (1, 21) with a suction motor and a supply of water (8), with a rotating separator which is wetted by the water and through which the air flows and with a control unit (17) which brakes the suction motor (15, 23) in particular when the separator (11) is switched off.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses an apparatus and method for controlling louver blades of an outdoor unit which can improve efficiency of the outdoor unit according to a state of the louver blades and peripheral conditions. The apparatus for controlling the louver blades of the outdoor unit includes: a louver blade member including louver blades having a pair of connecting protrusions at their both ends, and first to fourth levers for rotatably connecting the connecting protrusions of the louver blades formed in the same positions; a driving member for opening/closing the louver blades by moving the first to fourth levers in the vertical direction to the louver blades by a predetermined distance; and a microcomputer for controlling the driving member, and opening/closing the louver blades by generating a control command.
Abstract:
An air terminal flow detection scheme in an air distribution system effective for developing static pressure indications of the plenum of the air terminal from change in the flow through the air terminal over the period of time of the change.
Abstract:
Air vent consisting of a fixed, gridlike apertured front panel and a stop plate disposed behind it, which plate is movable by a control mechanism in the direction of its plane and to the plane of the front panel and which plate in a position resting against the back of the front panel closes the grid apertures, but which in a separated position opens the grid apertures of the front panel for the passage of air.
