Abstract: To provide a liquid crystal element having multiple alignment domains with a simple configuration. The liquid crystal element includes: a first and a second substrate; a liquid crystal layer inbetween the two substrates; and a seal material with an injection port; where a first and a second alignment film each has an alignment regulating force in one direction on a surface in contact with the liquid crystal layer, a polymerized monomer is present at the interface between each of the two alignment films and the liquid crystal layer; the liquid crystal layer has a first region close to the injection port and a second region far from the injection port; and the first region has a high polymer density and has a pretilt angle in a direction opposite to the alignment regulating force, and the second region has a pretilt angle in the same direction as the alignment regulating force.

Abstract: Disclosed are PBS-based ADB function adjustment method and an intelligent vehicle light module therefor. A light source system and a light control element constitute an intelligent illumination light control system. One part of light rays emitted by the intelligent illumination light control system penetrate through a PBS to form an illumination light shape, and the other part of the light rays emitted by the intelligent illumination light control system are reflected by the PBS in a direction opposite to a photosensitive chip integrated circuit. Ambient light enters an imaging lens group in a direction opposite to an illumination light path, and one part of the ambient light is reflected by the PBS to the photosensitive chip integrated circuit to form an information source for dynamic control of the light control system.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed in which one or more light sources, a detector, a processor and a controller are configured such that light from the one or more light sources improves the ability of a human or automated motor vehicle driver to identify and avoid pedestrians. The one or more light sources may provide spot illumination to moving objects or pedestrians on a road surface, with the spot illumination following the moving object or pedestrians along the portion of the road surface. Abstract: An optical device for a motor vehicle headlight for producing continuously closed light distribution. The optical device includes: light sources; collimators which are respectively associated with a light source; and a light guiding body, which has a light shaping structure and is formed from a plurality of interconnected facets. The facets respectively have an inclination to the main emission direction, wherein the spatial vector of a facet forms a horizontal and a vertical angle of inclination to the main emission direction. The inclinations of all facets are distributed such that the horizontal angles of inclination are respectively distributed around an expected value that corresponds to the maximum luminous intensity of the light distribution such that light that enters or leaves the light guiding body via facets that have horizontal and vertical angles of inclination corresponding to the expected value forms the maximum luminous intensity of the light distribution. The light shaping structure forms the light entry side and/or the light exit side of the light guiding body, wherein the facets are distributed substantially homogeneously on the light entry and/or exit sides in relation to their respective inclinations.

Abstract: A primary optics for a motorcycle headlamp, wherein the primary optics is a non-imaging primary optics configured to irradiate a segmented light distribution in front of the primary optics, wherein the primary optics includes a plurality of light guiding elements for forming a predetermined segmented light distribution from light of light sources in a main direction. The common light output surface includes a homogenization structure, which is formed of a plurality of grooves, each of which extends along an extension line transverse to the straight arrangement line of each group of light guiding elements, wherein the groove has a constant radius in a cross-section orthogonal to the extension line along the extension line, and wherein the grooves are arranged with respect to each other such that the extension lines of the grooves are parallel to each other.

Abstract: The invention relates to a lighting apparatus for a motor vehicle, which includes one or more light sources and an optical device that is configured such that a first light distribution is produced in an intermediate image plane from light beams originating from the one or more light sources, and in that a second light distribution in the form of a target light distribution is generated in front of the illumination apparatus from the first light distribution. The optical device also includes one or more spatial phase modulators on which at least one light beam from the light sources is incident and which are electrically drivable, to variably set a phase modulation of the at least one light beam which is incident thereon. During operation of the illumination apparatus, the spatial phase modulators are driven such that only a phase modulation of the at least one light beam is performed and substantially the entire luminous flux at the respective phase modulator is contained in the first light distribution after the at least one light beam that is incident on the phase modulator has passed it.

Abstract: Disclosed is a condenser and a high-and-low-beam integrated vehicle lamp module, the condenser comprises at least one light incident portion, a light-transmitting portion, and a light emergent portion, wherein a 50L dark area light shape forming structure is formed on the light-transmitting portion; the 50L dark area light shape forming structure protrudes from a surface of the light-transmitting portion and has a slope surface; and the distance from the slope surface to the surface of the light-transmitting portion gradually increases from a position close to the light incident portion to the light emergent portion. Since the 50L dark area light shape forming structure protrudes out of the surface of the light-transmitting portion and has the slope surface, in a high-beam illumination mode, some light is emitted from the 50L dark area light shape forming structure to a 50L test point.

Abstract: A vehicle light optical element (VLOE) comprises a light incident portion, a transmission portion, and a light emitting portion sequentially arranged from back to front. The light incident portion comprises an illuminating light incident structure (ILIS) and at least one high-beam light incident structure (HBLIS), in which an illuminating light incident surface of the ILIS is adapted to receive auxiliary light during low-beam lighting. Alternatively, the light incident portion comprises an ILIS and at least one HBLIS, in which the ILIS is either a flat surface, a curved cylindrical body protruding backwards, a hemispherical body protruding backwards, or a light condensing structure. The ILIS is adapted to receive auxiliary lighting light during low-beam lighting. The ILIS is provided on the VLOE, such that when a vehicle light is in a low-beam lighting mode, the VLOE is also luminous, thereby improving the aesthetic appearance of the vehicle light.
