Abstract: A lighting module for an automotive vehicle includes a plurality of lighting sub-modules each including at least one light source, a flat optical light guide with an input surface, and an output surface and a reflection surface which is capable of reflecting light from the input surface to the output surface. The plurality of lighting sub-modules includes first lighting sub-modules configured to each produce a lighting sub-beam with an upper horizontal cut-off, and second lighting sub-modules configured to each produce a lighting sub-beam without an upper horizontal cut-off. The first and second lighting sub-modules are juxtaposed so as to form, along the juxtaposition, a plurality of alternations between the first and second lighting sub-modules.

Abstract: Method for controlling a lighting system with the lighting system including a plurality of light sources, wherein each light source is capable of emitting an elementary light beam with the vertical angular aperture of which is less than 1°. The method includes detecting a target object, determining a relative distance between a given point of the host vehicle sensor system and a detected point of the target object and determining a gradient of the road on which the target object is located, determining a lower angle and an upper angle between a given point of the host vehicle lighting system and a high cut-off point and a low cut-off point, controlling the light sources of the host vehicle lighting system in order to emit a pixelated light beam of the driving beam type in order to generate a dark zone extending substantially between the high and low cut-off points.

The lens includes a spread lens that concentrates incident light to a focal line having a linear shape and a spot lens that concentrates incident light to a point.

Abstract: An optical system for use in a headlamp of a motor vehicle includes condenser optics formed by a condenser lens matrix and being provided to focus incoming light beams. It further includes at least one reflective shield being provided to reflect at least a subset of the focused light beams and to create a cut-off line of outgoing light beams. It further includes imaging optics formed by an imaging lens matrix, which is provided to project the focused light beams and the reflected light beams in front of the headlamp, such that the reflected light beams contribute to an intensity hotspot on one side of the cut-off line.

Abstract: Disclosed is a condenser and a high-and-low-beam integrated vehicle lamp module, the condenser comprises at least one light incident portion, a light-transmitting portion, and a light emergent portion, wherein a 50L dark area light shape forming structure is formed on the light-transmitting portion; the 50L dark area light shape forming structure protrudes from a surface of the light-transmitting portion and has a slope surface; and the distance from the slope surface to the surface of the light-transmitting portion gradually increases from a position close to the light incident portion to the light emergent portion. Since the 50L dark area light shape forming structure protrudes out of the surface of the light-transmitting portion and has the slope surface, in a high-beam illumination mode, some light is emitted from the 50L dark area light shape forming structure to a 50L test point.

Abstract: Vehicle headlights are equipped with a right-side lamp, a left-side lamp, and a control unit. A right-side light distribution pattern and a left-side light distribution pattern include an overlapping area and a non-overlapping area. In a case where the steering angle is greater than the prescribed angle, the control unit controls power supplied to light-emitting parts of the right-side lamp and power supplied to light-emitting parts of the left-side lamp such that: a first area of a first light distribution pattern is located in the non-overlapping area; a second area of a second light distribution pattern is located in the overlapping area; and a first intensity of the light in the first area becomes greater than the sum of a second intensity of the light in the second area and a third intensity of the light in the area overlapping the second area within the first light distribution pattern.
