Abstract: A resin composition contains a polybutylene terephthalate resin and a polyethylene terephthalate resin, wherein a mass ratio of the polybutylene terephthalate resin and the polyethylene terephthalate resin with respect to a total of 100 parts by mass of the polybutylene terephthalate resin and the polyethylene terephthalate resin is from 10/90 to 90/10, and wherein, when one cycle is defined as an operation in which, based on JIS K7121, a temperature is increased by DSC from 40° C. to 300° C. at a rate of temperature increase of 20° C./min and then the temperature is reduced to 40° C. at a rate of temperature cooling of −20° C./min, the polyethylene terephthalate resin has an absolute value of a heat of crystallization during a heating phase in a first cycle (ΔHTc1-1st) and/or an absolute value of a heat of crystallization during the heating phase in a second cycle (ΔHTc1-2nd) of the operation of less than 3 J/g.

Abstract: A headlamp optical element with a III-region light shape forming structure that comprises a light collecting portion, a first light emitting portion, a reflecting portion, and optionally a second light emitting portion. The light collecting portion converges incident light and emits light via the first light emitting portion. Some light may be directly emitted to the second light emitting portion. The rest of the light may be reflected by the reflecting portion and emitted to the second light emitting portion. The reflecting portion is connected to the lower portion of the first light emitting portion, with a lower beam cut-off line structure at the other end thereof. The light emitting surface of the first light emitting portion comprises multiple step surfaces with segment differences or is a single curved surface.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a headlamp optical element comprising a light collecting part, a light emitting part and a reflecting part connected in sequence. The reflecting part comprises a low beam or high beam cutoff line structure. The end of the light collecting part comprises an outer contour surface and a concave cavity including a cambered front light incident surface and a lateral light incident surface that is curved with a smaller circumference closer to the reflecting part. The outer contour surface is curved with a larger circumference closer to the reflecting part. A lower portion of the light collecting part is provided with a region III light-shape forming structure, wherein part of light converged can be emitted from region III and under the reflecting part in sequence forming a light-shape of a low beam region III. The headlamp optical element is simple, compact, and lighter in weight.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of cast vinyl film and, more particularly, to a method and system to provide a repositionable translucent cast vinyl film with an air egress adhesive layer. In one aspect, a method includes mixing a solvent based polyvinyl chloride (PVC) organosol with a stabilizer and an additive to get a desired shade of pellucid tint of a translucent thermoplastic stretch wrap film. Further, the method includes casting the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) organosol onto a film carrier and moving the film carrier through a plurality of ovens at varying temperatures to care into a solid film. The cured solid film is laminated to an air-egress liner casted with a solvent-borne acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive to provide ease of installation. The adhesive includes an air release patterning to allow escape of air from back of the film while repositioning the film around a complex shaped surface.

Abstract: A trim component, such as a grill of a vehicle, includes a substrate having a 3-dimensional shape and defining a disrupted reflective surface including a plurality of facets over a curved surface. Each of the facets is configured to reflect an incident light beam in a common direction, for example, toward a given target. A reflective coating, such as a chrome plating layer, overlies the disrupted reflective surface. The facets may have similar shapes and/or be arranged in a repeating pattern, but with one or more irregular features. The sizes, shapes, and/or orientation direction of the facets may varying in a gradient based on the curvature of the curved surface. The trim component also includes a light source to illuminate the disrupted reflective surface. The light source may be hidden so it is not directly visible to a viewer, but instead is reflected by the disrupted reflective surface.
