Abstract:
A pipe clamp for mounting a pipe on a stud mounting bracket includes a main body having a central pipe engaging portion and opposed first and second transition portions. The main body has a horizontal axis extending through a center of the main body and a vertical axis extending through the center of the main body. The first and second transition portions are positioned on opposed sides of the horizontal axis and on opposed sides of the vertical axis. First and second arms extend from the respective transition portions in a direction away from the vertical axis. First and second fingers extend from the respective arms in a direction toward the horizontal axis. First and second hooks extend from the respective fingers in a direction toward the vertical axis.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to the field of mechanical engineering. The bearing of the present disclosure comprises few components and can be assembled easily on site. The bearing includes a housing and a plurality of sectional elements. The housing is disposed on a base and has a hollow profile. The plurality of sectional elements is disposed within the housing and is configured to hold the component therewithin. The plurality of sectional elements facilitates rotation of the component. Each of the plurality of sectional elements is defined by an operative outer surface and an operative inner surface. The operative outer surface has a shape complementary to an operative inner surface of the housing. The operative inner surface of each of the plurality of sectional elements has a shape complementary to the component to be held within the bearing.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the present invention relate to arcuate saddles typically used to anchor and suspend insulated or non-insulated pipes. One or more adhesive strips are mounted to the interior, concave surface of the saddles. In preferred embodiments the adhesive strips extend transverse to or parallel to the longitudinal axis of the saddles. Certain embodiments of the present invention involve methods of manufacturing arcuate saddles with adhesive strips.
Abstract:
A hanger bracket for supporting duct having an extended plate portion configured to support a surface of a duct and configured to accommodate coupling of the hanger bracket to the bottom surface of the duct; a vertical back plate portion attached to the extended plate portion and configured to couple the hanger bracket to a side surface of the duct; a top plate portion attached to the vertical back plate portion and in parallel arrangement with the extended plate portion and configured to accommodate a hanger element passed at a side of the duct above the bottom surface of the duct in an offset hanger attachment; and at least one gusset portions attached to a back side of the vertical back plate portion and an underside of the top plate portion to provide structural support to the top plate portion.

Abstract:
Certain embodiments of the present invention relate to arcuate saddles typically used to anchor and suspend insulated or non-insulated pipes. Rounded corners on the saddles facilitate comfortably introducing and placing the saddles into hangers as well as improving use. Certain embodiments of the present invention involve methods of manufacturing arcuate saddles with rounded corners.
Abstract:
A pipe anchor is disclosed having a pipe trunnion stop for attaching to an outer surface of a pipe by welding. A mating top cradle and bottom cradle generally encircle and hold a length of the pipe. The bottom cradle has a pass-through to accommodate the pipe trunnion stop. There is a base onto which the bottom cradle sets, the base includes a void into which the pipe trunnion is secured. An insulation layer is positioned between the pipe and the top cradle and bottom cradle, and around the pipe trunnion stop. A bolting assembly on the top cradle portion and a mating bolting assembly on the bottom cradle portion secures the top cradle portion and the bottom cradle portion to each other. Another embodiment includes multiple pipe trunnion stops along with respective pass-through and base void sections.
Abstract:
An insulated clamp for securing a pipe to a conventional C-channel including first and second portions each having a recess associated therewith for receiving a portion of a pipe to be positioned therebetween, the first portion including a pair of flanges receivable within the C-channel, an expansion device positioned between the pair of flanges for moving the flanges into engagement with the C-channel, and a coupling mechanism for attaching the first and second portions to each other. The coupling mechanism is engageable with the expansion device to move the pair of flanges into their engaged position with the C-channel when the first and second clamp portions are attached to each other.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to an insulation structure for thermally and acoustically insulating an aircraft that features at least one heavy layer, wherein the insulation structure according to the invention is characterized in that the insulation structure comprises an additional absorption layer, in that the heavy layer is perforated at least in certain areas, and in that the perforated area ratio of the heavy layer is adapted in such a way that the heavy layer is essentially transparent to sound for frequencies below a double-wall frequency of the insulation structure. This makes it possible to dampen sound with low frequencies below the double-wall frequency as effectively as possible.
