摘要: A pipe unclogging device and system are disclosed. The device allows a user to clear a blockage in a pipe downstream from the start of the pipe system quickly and easily. To do so, the device provides a pipe with a branch portion, with a plunger device operably coupled to the branch portion. In use, the plunger device is actuatable to plunge fluid in the pipe, or it can be removed to provide a user direct access to the pipe system for other unclogging tools, such as a plumbing snake.

摘要: A fire protection sprinkler system and method of inerting a fire protection sprinkler system includes connecting an inerting system to the piping network of a fire protection sprinkler system having a piping network and at least one sprinkler head connected with the piping network. The inerting system includes an inert gas source that is adapted to supply inert gas to the piping network and an inerting gas vent assembly. The gas vent assembly has a gas vent adapted to discharge gas, a solenoid and a control. The solenoid is adapted to selectively open the gas vent and to close the gas vent. The gas vent discharges gas when the solenoid opens the gas vent and does not discharge gas when the solenoid closes the gas vent. The control is adapted to operate the solenoid in a manner that allows the gas vent to discharge gas for a limited amount of time.

摘要: The present invention relates to a system and method of inspecting and relieving pressure and fluid from a pipeline in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. An adjustable insert is placed within a flange of the pipeline, where the adjustable insert has a valve stem capable of moving into contact with a valve device to regulate fluid or gas from the pipeline and one or more outlets for relieving pressure or withdrawing fluid from the pipeline. The system and method provided are capable of operating in a closed process without loosening or removing a flange of the pipeline, thereby improving pipeline operator safety.

摘要: A pipe system has an elbow 70 with a snake-passing opening 72 (FIG. 3) that is normally closed by a plug 88, with the walls of the snake opening and plug constructed to avoid harmful wear during use of the snake. The elbow forms a nipple 82 that surrounds the snake opening. The nipple has threads (102, FIG. 4) on its outside so snake-caused wear does not initially occur in the threads. The snake opening has an axis 108, and the plug middle forms a cup 112 that extends axially inward to block a majority of the volume within the inner end of the nipple.

摘要: An access panel for an opening in a duct is provided. The access panel includes an exterior and an interior. The access panel further includes a section positioned on the interior and having a profile substantially corresponding to the opening in the duct. A plurality of fasteners is positioned about the section. Each fastener has a clip configured to move to a position defined to extend away from the profile of the section on the interior. When the access panel is positioned with the section on the interior against the opening in the duct and the fasteners are moved to the locking position the clips rotate to extend over the profile and secure a portion of the duct adjacent to the opening against the interior of the access panel.

摘要: The conduit body assembly includes a metallic conduit body having an open upper end and a metallic cover removably positionable over the upper end. A metallic threaded fastener secures the cover to the body. The metallic fastener includes a threaded post and a nut removably attached to one end of the post. The nut and the post are formed of similar non-corrosive materials so as to resist corrosion therebetween. The nut is removable from the post in an environment where corrosion between the metallic fastener and the conduit body and cover prevents removal of the threaded fastener therefrom. Removal of the nut from the threaded post permits removal of the cover from the conduit body.

摘要: A directional hopper tee has a fluted interior vertical pipe that merges into a horizontal pipe. The vertical pipe has an opening that connects to a hopper to receive bulk material, or product, and a horizontal pipe centered upon the end of the vertical pipe. The horizontal pipe has an inlet that also receives bulk material and pressurized air from ahead of the hopper and an opposite outlet that discharges the bulk material from the hopper tee. The vertical pipe has a flange that abuts the hopper and an opening in the flange that matches the opening of a valve on the hopper itself. At the opening, the vertical pipe begins to turn towards the outlet of the lower pipe with an internal flute. The flute begins immediately at the flange resulting in a vertical pipe with a curved shape towards the outlet and a square shape towards the inlet. The present invention raises the ground clearance of the horizontal pipe by at least an inch resulting in a hopper tee that clears at least 7 inches above the ground. The hopper tee of the invention also unloads at least 15% more product per minute at temperatures closer to product temperature. Alternate embodiments of the present invention provide a reinforced flange, a drop tee, and a low profile drop tee. The present invention aids in the unloading of bulk materials from various haulers.
