摘要:
An integrity monitoring system for a lined pipeline is provided for monitoring the integrity of a polymer liner in a host pipe. Methods and apparatus are described by which a lined pipeline is provided with such an integrity monitoring system. Sensor cable is able to bridge a joint between sections of lined pipe, for example by routing the sensor cable across the joint via a channel in an electrofusion fitting or by connecting successive lengths of sensor cable via pass-throughs in an electrofusion fitting. Advantageously, the sensor cable is disposed within a continuous annulus between linings and host pipes, and the continuous annulus is maintained across pipe joints using electrofusion fittings.

A laying tower for laying pipelines on the bed of a body of water has a supporting structure extending along a longitudinal axis and provided with guides parallel to the longitudinal axis; a first clamp, which is mounted on the supporting structure and configured for selectively clamping and releasing the pipeline in a given point along the longitudinal axis; and a second clamp, which is selectively movable along a path, which extends along a first section above the first clamp; and a second section below the first clamp and, partly, below the supporting structure and configured for selectively clamping and releasing the pipeline along the path.

A joining device of a continuous conduit is for changes in slope of seabeds. The continuous conduit defines a longitudinal direction substantially coinciding with the longitudinal direction of structural development of the continuous conduit. The continuous conduit has a longitudinal structural continuity and a fluidic continuity. The joining device includes a joint that includes at least one first joining branch, at least one second joining branch and at least one third joining branch. The first joining branch extends along the longitudinal direction and provides longitudinal structural and fluidic continuity of the continuous conduit and connects with a piece of the continuous conduit. The second joining branch provides longitudinal structural continuity of the continuous conduit. The third joining branch provides fluidic continuity of the continuous conduit. The second joining branch is exclusively suitable for providing the longitudinal structural continuity of the continuous conduit, and is unsuitable for providing the fluidic continuity.

A method lays lined pipeline which actively and successfully removes air pockets which night be trapped in the annulus between the liner and the host pipe by progressively flooding the lined pipeline. Further, the liner is brought into closer contact and engagement with the host pipe. The removal of air in the annulus enables the pipeline test pressure to stabilize more quickly and avoids the risk of potential collapse during operational service life in the event the pipeline pressures fluctuate or a vacuum is created during an emergency shutdown.

A marine pipeline installation system for laying an offshore pipeline and/or installing a subsea riser includes a pipeline launch tower, a pipeline guide provided at an elevated position for guiding said pipeline to the pipeline launch trajectory along said tower, one or more tensioners, an abandonment and recovery (A&R) system including at least one A&R cable and associated A&R winch and a sheave arrangement with one or more sheaves supported by the pipeline launch tower at an upper position thereof. An auxiliary trolley is provided which is adapted to support the weight of the launched pipeline and which is movable along a rail in the pipeline launch trajectory when the one or more tensioner frames are in the retracted non-operable position, from a position above the uppermost tensioner to a position below the lowermost tensioner, the rail being supported by the pipeline launch tower.

An arrangement that brings all of the separate elements of equipment used to lay product offshore such as pipe, umbilicals, and power cables and assembles them into a single device that can be installed on a vessel of opportunity, and includes functional improvements of each. A base is used for mounting, integration, and installation of the separate elements onto a vessel. The base receives a movable lay chute, means for moving and stabilizing the lay chute, a movable hang off clamp and work table, a movable access platform, a product support arm and wheel, and a fixed chute.

A method of repairing a length of pipeline which has experienced a wet buckle during deployment is disclosed. The method includes: severing the pipeline at locations which are spaced apart on opposite sides of a buckle and removing the buckled section to leave spaced severed ends; locating a pipeline pig in a pig deployment device; releasably coupling a pig insertion member of the pig deployment device to the pig; releasably coupling the pig deployment device to one of the severed ends; operating the pig deployment device to cause the pig insertion member to translate the pig out of the deployment device and into the pipeline through said severed end; releasing the pig insertion member from the pig and retracting the pig insertion member, leaving the pig in place within the pipeline; releasing the pig deployment device from said severed end; and welding the severed ends together.

A method of laying a pipeline comprising a plurality of tubular components is disclosed. The method includes depositing a weld material onto a surface of a first tubular component of the plurality of tubular components and machining a profile into the weld material. The profile includes a support shoulder into the weld material. The method further includes suspending the first tubular component in a vertical or near vertical position and supporting the first tubular component by the support shoulder. A further tubular component of the plurality of tubular components is connected to a free end of the first tubular component. The support shoulder is formed at a point spaced from the free end of the first tubular component thereby facilitating connection of the first tubular component to the second tubular component.

In various embodiments, fluid conduits such as high pressure hoses deployed in-between two sea-fairing vessels may be released during an emergency by using a rapid release emergency disconnect system as described herein, where the rapid release emergency disconnect system may engage with a hanger such as an industry standard frac hanger and be used in-line with fluid conduits such as high-pressure lines. Various skid embodiments are described which can be configured to interface with one or more of the described rapid release emergency disconnect systems.
