    摘要: A continuously variable transmission changes a gear ratio by changing a groove width between the fixed side pulley half body and the movable side pulley half body in each of the driving pulley and the driven pulley using pulley pressure. At least any of a drive shaft of the driving pulley and a driven shaft of the driven pulley includes a pulley pressure supply oil passage for supplying pulley pressure to the movable side pulley half body, a lubricating oil passage provided on a downstream of the pulley pressure supply oil passage to supply oil as a lubricating oil to an endless member, and a flow control valve that is provided between the pulley pressure supply oil passage and the lubricating oil passage and operates according to pulley pressure.

The hydraulic control device includes a pressure regulating valve, a solenoid valve configured to control the pilot pressure, line pressure control means, and hydraulic control means. The pressure regulating valve includes an input port to which line pressure is input, an output port configured to supply an oil chamber of a second pulley with a second pulley pressure, a drain port configured to discharge the second pulley pressure from the oil chamber, and a spool moving according to pilot pressure to regulate the second pulley pressure. The line pressure control means is configured to control the line pressure on the basis of the second pulley pressure and first pulley pressure of first pulley. The hydraulic control means is configured to temporarily change the pilot pressure from set pressure to configure the line pressure identical to the second pulley pressure.

    摘要: A continuously variable transmission, a transmission control system, and a method is provided. The control system is configured to determine whether a predetermined condition is met for applying a clutch critical pressure to an applied clutch. The clutch critical pressure is less than line pressure and is a pressure at which the clutch may slip upon experiencing a predetermined torque disturbance level. The control system is configured to command the clutch critical pressure to be applied to the clutch if the predetermined condition is met. The control system is further configured to determine whether the clutch is slipping beyond a predetermined threshold, and if the clutch is slipping beyond the predetermined threshold, command a clutch slip control scheme to be applied to the clutch that is configured to bring a clutch slip of the clutch under the predetermined threshold.

    摘要: A continuously variable transmission (CVT) (14) includes a drive pulley (18), a driven pulley (20), and an endless rotatable device (22) coupled between the drive and driven pulleys (18, 20). The drive pulley (18) and the driven pulley (20) each include pulley teeth (19T, 21T), and the endless rotatable device (22) includes device teeth (22T). A controller (50) can control the operation of the CVT and can execute the following instructions: (a) receiving a torque request while the device teeth (22T) are mating with the pulley teeth (19T, 21T); (b) determining whether the torque request direction is opposite to the input torque direction; (c) determining whether a current clamping force applied by an actuator (28, 30) to the drive pulley (18) is sufficient to change the direction of the torque transmitted by the drive pulley (18); and (d) commanding the actuator (28; 30) to increase the current clamping force when the current clamping force is not sufficient to change the direction of the torque transmitted by the drive pulley (18).
