    摘要: A differential device includes: a pinion gear; a pinion shaft for rotatably supporting the pinion gear; a pair of side gears, which engage with the pinion gear and are fitted to a pair of drive shafts; a differential case, which supports the pinion shaft, houses the pinion gear and the side gears, and has an opening on one side of the drive shafts; and a differential cover, which has a hole through which one of the drive shafts penetrates, is fixed to the differential case, and closes the opening. Further, the differential cover has an oil passage which penetrates along the hole from an inner surface facing the side gears to an outer surface opposite to the differential case and through which a lubricating oil flows.

The first plate includes a shoulder portion that extends from a first side of the first plate. Additionally, the first plate includes an increased diameter portion that extends from an outer surface of the first plate. Extending inward from a second side of the first plate is a receiving portion with a substantially vertical wall portion having one or more non-circular first plate grooves. The second plate has one or more non-circular second plate grooves that extend along a first side of the second plate. The second plate grooves are a reverse mirror image of the first plate grooves. Radially outboard from the shoulder portion is a thrust bearing and integrally connected to the outer surface of the first plate is a first plate gear portion.

    摘要: In at least some implementations, a differential for a vehicle includes a pinion gear, a pair of side gears and a housing. The side gears are meshed with the pinion gear and the housing defines a cavity in which the pinion gear and side gears are received. The housing also has an opening with an inner end leading to the cavity and an outer end spaced from the inner end. The opening is adapted to receive a shaft therethrough for coupling of the shaft to one of the side gears and the opening is defined at least in part by a journal surface. The journal surface is concave with respect to the shaft and provides a converging portion from the inner end to a central portion between the inner end and outer end and a diverging portion from the central portion to the outer end.

The transmission gear set can transmit rotary power between a motor output shaft and an output of the transmission gear set. The differential assembly can include a case, a pair of pinion gears, and a pair of side gears. Each of the side gears can be meshingly engaged with the pair of pinion gears. Each output member can include a driven body and an outer flange. The driven body can have a first end drivingly coupled to one of the side gears. The outer flange can have a first side that is releasably coupled to the second end of the driven body, and a second side that is adapted to be releasably coupled to a constant velocity joint.

    摘要: An axle assembly having a housing, a ring gear received in the housing, a ring gear bearing, a pair of shafts, a differential mechanism and a pair of inboard bearings. The ring gear bearing contacts the housing and the ring gear to support the ring gear for rotation about an axis. The shafts are received in the housing and rotate about the axis. Each of the shafts has a bearing mount and a male splined segment. The differential mechanism has a pair of output members, each of which having a splined internal aperture into which the male splined segment of one of the shafts is slidably received. Each shaft bearing is disposed on the bearing mount of one of the axle shafts and supports the shafts for rotation on the housing. The differential mechanism is supported for rotation about the axis by the ring gear bearing and the inboard bearings.
