    摘要: A damping force control type shock absorber capable of achieving both air bleeding performance and damping force responsiveness at reduced cost. When a pilot valve (47) is closed during the extension stroke of a piston rod (6), a cylinder upper chamber (2A) is communicated with a back-pressure chamber (46) through a passage (73) including an orifice (76), a communicating passage (70), a pilot chamber (33), and a communicating passage (50). At this time, the cylinder upper chamber (2A) is not communicated with a cylinder lower chamber (2B); therefore, damping force responsiveness is ensured. Further, because there is no need to provide a check valve in the passage, it is possible to suppress an increase in manufacturing cost. Further, air entering the pilot chamber (33) moves upward through the communicating passage (70). Therefore, the air can be discharged into the cylinder upper chamber (2A) through the passage (73).

    摘要: A shock absorber for a vehicle includes a pressure tube that defines a fluid chamber and a piston disposed within the fluid chamber. The piston divides the fluid chamber into an upper working chamber and a lower working chamber, and defines a compression passage and a rebound passage. A valve disc assembly of the shock absorber engages the piston and controls the flow of fluid between the upper and lower working chambers. The valve disc assembly includes a check disc and an orifice disc. The check disc is disposed between the piston and the orifice disc. The orifice disc defines an orifice, and the check disc prohibits the flow of fluid through the orifice as the fluid flows in a first direction and permits the flow of fluid through the orifice as the fluid flows in a second direction opposite of the first direction.

    摘要: A shock absorber including a piston (3) slidably fitted in a cylinder having hydraulic oil sealed therein. A flow of hydraulic oil, induced in a passage (10) and a sub-passage (29) by sliding movement of the piston in the cylinder in response to the stroke of a piston rod, is controlled by an extension main valve (14) and a compression sub-valve (15) incorporated in the extension main valve, thereby generating a damping force. The amount of deflection of a sub-disk (30) constituting the compression sub-valve when the sub-disk is opened is limited by restricting portions (21). The sub-disk is provided with communicating holes (31) to reduce a differential pressure acting on the sub-disk when opened and also to relax the concentration of stress in the sub-disk, thereby improving the durability of the sub-disk.

A damping piston is mounted on the piston rod, dividing the interior of the casing into two sectional casing chambers. A filling of compressed gas is provided inside the casing. A damping device is provided for velocity-dependent damping of a motion of stroke of the damping piston and another damping device is provided for path-dependent damping of a motion of stroke of the damping piston. The result is a gas spring of excellently controllable stroke behaviour.

    摘要: In the illustrative embodiments described, a double tube shock absorber is provided with a continuously open throttling fluid passage device both on the piston valve unit and the bottom valve unit. The continuously open fluid passage device comprises a fluid passage chamber defined by a first wall member and a second wall member. The fluid passage chamber is connected to a first fluid chamber of the shock absorber by a first axially directed opening and to a second fluid chamber of the shock absorber by a second radially directed opening. The second radially directed opening is located radially outward of said first opening. The axial height of the fluid passage chamber continuously decreases in radial direction between said first opening and said second opening.

The piston assembly includes a body having an inner bore extending axially through the body. The piston assembly includes a blowoff disc contacting the body at the inner bore and having a throughhole aligned with the inner bore. The piston rod extends through and concentrically contacts the inner bore and the throughhole. The body has a groove extending axially along a length of the inner bore. The groove and the piston rod form a passageway permitting fluid to travel across the body. The blowoff disc has a notch extending from the throughhole and arranged to permit fluid from the passageway to pass across the blowoff disc.
