    Abstract: This shock absorber includes a cylinder having an inner chamber; a cage body partitioning the inner chamber into first and second chambers, and includes a first passage allowing communication between the first and second chambers, a first seat part, a second passage allowing communication between the first and second chambers, and a second seat part. A first valve which is a first valve coming into contact with the first seat part to close the first passage and being separated from the first seat part to open the first passage, and in which a communication hole communicating with the second passage is formed. A second valve comes into contact with the second seat part to close the second passage and is separated from the second seat part to open the second passage. A passage adjusting disc is provided between the first valve and the cage body.

    Abstract: A damping valve for a vibration damper includes a damping valve body with separate passage channels. The outlet orifices of the passage channels for a flow direction are connected to one another via a groove, which is covered by at least one valve disk and is bounded radially by at least one annular web on the radially inner side with respect to the center axis (A) of the damping valve and at least one annular web on the radially outer side with respect to the center axis (A) of the damping valve. The radially outer web has at least one first portion in which the support is configured as area support for the valve disk, and the radially outer web has at least one second portion in which the support is configured as line support for the valve disk.

    Abstract: An electronically controlled internal damper includes: a main passage formed by a working fluid flowing through a main piston; a pilot passage formed by a working fluid as much as a predetermined amount discharged from a first pilot chamber and a second pilot chamber so as to maintain internal pressures of the first pilot chamber and the second pilot chamber to a predetermined level when pressures of the first pilot chamber and the second pilot chamber are increased beyond the predetermined level; and a bypass passage formed by a working fluid passing through the compression retainer and the rebound retainer symmetrically disposed above and under the main piston and a plurality of holes formed transversely to a vertical length direction of a spool rod. Accordingly, the electronically controlled internal damper is capable of implementing damping performance in both a soft mode and a hard mode with a relatively simple structure and increasing sealing performance while reducing rigidity.

    Abstract: A shock absorber for a vehicle is disclosed which has a pressure tube defining a fluid chamber, a piston rod, and a piston disposed within the fluid chamber, and carried on the piston rod, which divides the fluid chamber into upper and lower working chambers, and which has a plurality of passages extending between the upper and lower working chambers. A valve disc assembly controls a flow of fluid, and includes a spring disc. The spring disc has a non-symmetrical circumferential shape which enables a stiffness of the valve disc assembly to be tailored so that it begins to open at a first peripheral point, and continuously gradually opens about a non-symmetrical circumferential path until reaching a second peripheral point adjacent the first peripheral point.

    Abstract: A shock absorber for a vehicle may include a piston and a valve disc assembly. The piston defines a plurality of passages extending through the piston between an upper working chamber and a lower working chamber of a fluid chamber. The valve disc assembly engages the piston and controls a flow of fluid between the upper working chamber and the lower working chamber through the plurality of passages. The valve disc assembly includes a variable radius spring disc among a plurality of discs. The variable radius spring disc has a varying outer radius. The valve disc assembly has a stiffness that varies circumferentially based on the variable radius spring disc such that an actuation of the valve disc assembly with respect to the piston varies circumferentially.

    Abstract: A valve includes a valve disc that partitions one chamber and another chamber. The valve disc includes annular bosses and seats. The boss is formed at each of the one chamber side and the other chamber side to support leaf valves. The seats are formed on outer peripheral sides of the respective bosses on the one chamber side and the other chamber side. The leaf valves are left from/seated on the seats. At least one of the seats on the one chamber side and the other chamber side are disposed to project with respect to the bosses. An outer peripheral end of the seat on the one chamber side is disposed on an outer peripheral side with respect to an outer peripheral end of the seat on the other chamber side.
