    摘要: A torsional vibration damper has a hub part (primary mass) which can be fastened on a drive shaft of an engine and a flywheel ring (secondary mass) which surrounds the hub part in the radially outer region, wherein a gap filled with a fluid and one or more sealing devices are provided between the hub part and the flywheel ring, by which escape of fluid is to be prevented. The sealing devices each have a first ring, which is tightly connected to the hub part, as well as a second ring, which is tightly connected to the flywheel ring, as well as a sealing element made of a plastic material. The respective sealing element is connected in a material-locking manner to fastening sections on a respective outer axial side of the first and second ring. The sealing element has at least one elastically deformable axial projection in the region of each of the fastening sections.

    摘要: A shock isolator is arranged between two automated coupler parts in a vibration testing unit. When the coupler parts are engaged and coupled during vibration testing of a component, the shock isolator is disabled, and when the coupler parts are disengaged and decoupled after vibration testing, the shock isolator is activated to absorb excess shock energy and prevent shock transfer between the coupler parts that would damage the test component. The shock isolator includes a bushing that is inserted in a lower part of the two automated coupler parts and a compressive fit rod that is press-fit into the bushing. The bushing has a chamfered volume and the compressive fit rod has a corresponding compressible volume that is displaced into the chamfered volume to disable the shock isolator. After vibration testing, the compressive fit rod is expandable to a regular shape to activate the shock isolator.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides a method of manufacturing a damper for a vehicle. The method includes forming a groove on an outer surface of a first component in a first annular region. The first component is tubular. The method further includes inducing a compressive residual stress in a second annular region. The second annular region is at least partially aligned with the first annular region along a longitudinal axis of the first component. The method further includes coupling a second component to the first component. Surfaces of the first component and the second component directly engage one another at an interface. The second component is axially aligned with and radially surrounding at least a portion of the first annular region. In some configurations, forming the groove and inducing the compressive residual stress are performed concurrently, such as by low plasticity burnishing.
