Abstract:
A clamp assembly that may be used for securing to a raised portion of a surface. The clamp assembly comprising a mounting body of a general block shape having a slot for receiving the raised portion formed in a bottom surface of the mounting body attaching the clamp assembly thereto. The clamp assembly is configured with one or more pins that may be formed in a substantially elongated cylindrical shape. The pins may be configured to be received in one or more push-pin holes formed in the mounting body, whereby the push-pin holes extend to the slot from a side surface of push-pin holes. The clamp assembly includes a fastening element adapted to be received in a fastener hole formed adjacent the push-pin holes in the side surface of the mounting body. The fastening element is configured to secure, attach and hold the clamp assembly to the standing seam by forcing the pins against the raised portion of the surface disposed in the slot.
Abstract:
A clamp assembly (100), and a mounting assembly (150), that may be used for securing a device (160) (e.g. a solar panel, Roof Mounted Displays, Satellite Dishes, Conduit and Piping, Snow-Retention System, HVAC etc.) to a raised portion of a standing seam (103) of a metal roof, panel or tile (119) building surface. The clamp assembly (100) comprising a mounting body (101) of a general block shape having a slot (102) for receiving the standing seam (103) formed in a bottom surface (136) of the mounting body (101) and top surface (137) for securing thereon and attaching the device (160) thereto. The clamp assembly (100) is configured with one or more pins (105) that may be formed in a substantially elongated cylindrical shape. The pins (105) may be configured to be received in one or more push-pin holes (107) formed in the mounting body (101), whereby the push-pin holes (107) extend to the slot (102) from a side surface (138) of push-pin holes (107), which are formed substantially orthogonal relative to the slot (102). The clamp assembly (100) includes a fastening element (109) adapted to be received in a fastener hole (111) formed adjacent the push-pin holes (107) in the side surface (138) of the mounting body (101). The fastening element (109) is configured to secure, attach and hold the clamp assembly (100) to the standing seam (103) by forcing the pins (105) against the standing seam (103) disposed in the slot (102). The clamp assembly (100) further comprises a groove (115) adapted to receive and secure a ground wire (120), cable (121) or other item advantageous for grounding of electrical components and organization. The mounting assembly (100) includes the clamp assembly (100) and a panel fastening assembly (126) comprising a device fastening element (139) adapted to be received in said attachment hole (113) for securing the device (160), one or more one or more solar caps (127) adapted to be disposed on and around the device fastening element (139) so as to mount and secure the device (160) disposed between the solar caps (127) by tightening said device fastening element (139).

Abstract:
An apparatus configured to structurally replace a cracked weld in a nuclear plant may include: a first body portion that includes a first gripping portion; a second body portion that includes a second gripping portion; a wedge portion between the first and second body portions; and/or an adjustment portion. The first body portion may be configured to slidably engage the second body portion. The wedge portion may be configured to exert force on the slidably engaged first and second body portions. The adjustment portion may be configured to increase or decrease the force exerted by the wedge portion on the slidably engaged first and second body portions. When the adjustment portion increases the force exerted by the wedge portion on the slidably engaged first and second body portions, a distance between the first and second gripping portions may decrease.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a locking system (1) for plate-shaped panels (4.1, 4.2) with hook-profiled sections (5.1, 5.2) which complement one another and each of which is provided with a hook element (6). The hook elements (6) of complementary hook-profiled sections (5.1, 5.2) of adjacent panels (4.1, 4.2) hook in a joining movement (f) so as to engage into one another into a connected position. A profiled locking element (11) which has a first spring portion (12.1) and a first foot portion (13.1) is provided, said locking element being insertable into a first undercut (9.1) of a first hook-profiled section (5.1). The first undercut (9.1) of at least the first hook-profiled section (5.1) has a second undercut (9.2) which is effective perpendicular to the larger lateral surfaces (2) and into which the first spring portion (12.1) of the locking element (11) automatically locks from an open position into a locking position upon reaching the connected position of the two panels (4.1, 4.2). The second undercut (9.2) has a space (14) in which or into which the first spring portion (12.1) of the locking element (11) can be elastically deflected into the open position.
Abstract:
The present arrangement enables first and second section, or first second and third sections, of a housing device to be secured together without the necessity of a plurality of screws, or winged nuts, or clamps, or the like. In a preferred embodiment two side walls are formed with grooved edges. Each of the groove edges has its outer wall placed in abutment with a different associated resilient gasket and between the resilient gaskets there is located an extension member of a third wall. The grooved edges have an inverted U-shaped compression strip forced thereinto and the compression strip in turn forces the outer walls of the grooved edges toward the resilient gaskets which in turn are squeezed against the extension member thereby locking the three walls together rapidly. The removal of the compression strip enables the side walls to be free and hence separatable to enable the user to work on items inside of the housing.
Abstract:
A plastic cover comprising a pair of matable convex cover halves each having flanged projections, and fixtures which hold the corresponding opposite flanged projections of the two cover halves when the two cover halves are connected to each other, said fixtures each comprising an elastic clip of a leaf spring having bent free ends which hold the flanged projections therebetween and a center recess located between the free ends for enabling the free ends to be easily and elastically deformed when the clips are attached to the corresponding flanged projections.
Abstract:
Provided are splices, comprising honeycomb cores and adhesive layers with tie clips supporting the honeycomb cores. Also provided are methods of forming such splices. Each tie clip includes two legs and a bridging portion joining the legs. When forming a splice, an adhesive layer is positioned between two honeycomb cores. One leg of the tie clip is inserted into the full cell of one honeycomb core, while the other leg is inserted into the full cell of the other honeycomb core. The bridging portion extends across the adhesive layer. While curing the adhesive layer, the tie clip supports the honeycomb cores with respect to each other and maintains their orientation. The tie clip becomes a part of the splice. The tie clip may be buried in the honeycomb cores without extending above the first face of the splice.
Abstract:
A fastener for attaching grooved decking planks to a support member has a body defining an attachment opening spacing apart opposing legs extending from a shoulder. The legs have at least one frontward extending prong. The rear end of the body includes a bend transitioning to a lip. The front end may have downward extending teeth. A nose may extend from the front end while a tail may extend from the rear end of the body. Adjacent fasteners may be joined by their respective noses and tails to form a collated series of fasteners.
