摘要: A combustor apparatus defines a combustion zone where air and fuel are burned to create high temperature combustion products. The combustor apparatus includes an outer wall, coupling structure on the outer wall adjacent to a fuel inlet opening thereof, a fuel injection system, a fuel feed assembly, and a fitting member. The fuel injection system provides fuel to be burned in the combustion zone. The fuel supply structure includes a threaded inner surface formed from a first material. The fuel feed assembly includes a fuel feed pipe that extends through the fuel inlet opening in the outer wall and has an outlet portion formed from the first material and that is threadedly engaged with the fuel supply structure, and an inlet portion affixed to the outlet portion and formed from a second material. The fitting member secures the fuel feed assembly relative to the outer wall.

摘要: A technique for refurbishing nozzle diaphragm sections of a gas turbine replaces an eroded section of the nozzle diaphragm with a replacement part designed to engage a slot machined in the nozzle diaphragm. The replacement part is formed of a material with capable of sustained exposure to higher temperature than the original eroded section, and with a similar coefficient of expansion as the material used for manufacture the original nozzle diaphragm. The combination of the nozzle diaphragm and the replacement part conform to the original manufacturer's dimensional specifications for the nozzle diaphragm.

摘要: In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, a thermal barrier coating (TBC) for inclusion in a thermal barrier coating/environmental barrier coating system (TBC/EBC system) for use on a silicon containing material substrate is provided. The TBC comprises a compound having a primary constituent portion and a stabilizer portion stabilizing said primary constituent. The primary constituent portion of the TBC comprises hafnia present in an amount of at least about 5 mol % of the primary constituent. The stabilizer portion of said thermal barrier coating comprises at least one metal oxide comprised of cations with a +2 or +3 valence present in the amount of about 10 to about 40 mol % of the thermal barrier coating.

摘要: A combustor apparatus defines a combustion zone where air and fuel are burned to create high temperature combustion products. The combustor apparatus includes an outer wall, coupling structure on the outer wall adjacent to a fuel inlet opening thereof, a fuel injection system, a fuel feed assembly, and a fitting member. The fuel injection system provides fuel to be burned in the combustion zone. The fuel supply structure includes a threaded inner surface formed from a first material. The fuel feed assembly includes a fuel feed pipe that extends through the fuel inlet opening in the outer wall and has an outlet portion formed from the first material and that is threadedly engaged with the fuel supply structure, and an inlet portion affixed to the outlet portion and formed from a second material. The fitting member secures the fuel feed assembly relative to the outer wall.

摘要: A guide blade arrangement for an exhaust gas turbocharger may include guide blades rotatably mounted on a guide blade carrier ring via a respective blade bearing pin. A cover disc may be spaced from the guide blade carrier ring, wherein the guide blades may be arranged between the cover disc and the guide blade carrier ring. The cover disc may include a ceramic material, and the ceramic material may have a higher thermal conductivity in relation to at least one of the guide blade carrier ring, the guide blades, and the respective blade bearing pin.

摘要: A coating system that includes a plurality of portions, each portion comprising one or more layers. The coating system includes an outer portion, which is an infrared radiation (IR) interaction portion, that dissipates incident (IR). Underlying this outer portion is a performance portion. The performance portion comprises at least one layer that includes microspheres. Between the substrate and performance portion is a compliance portion. The compliance portion comprises at least one layer of high temperature material that has a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) intermediate the performance layer and the substrate. The compliance portion thus reduces any high temperature thermal mismatch between the substrate and the performance portion.

摘要: A microturbine system includes a compressor, a recuperator assembly, a combustor, a turbine, and a generator. The recuperator assembly includes a core that preheats compressed air provided by the compressor with exhaust gas from the turbine. The preheated compressed air is mixed with a fuel and burned in the combustor. The products of combustion are used to drive the turbine, which in turn drives the compressor and generator. The recuperator core is surrounded by a recuperator housing that is intimate with the recuperator core such that the recuperator housing assumes substantially the same temperature as the recuperator core. The recuperator housing is constructed of materials that have a coefficient of thermal expansion that is substantially equal to that of the recuperator core, and that have thicknesses substantially equal to the thickness of the recuperator core materials. A superstructure supports the recuperator core and resists expansion of the core in a stackwise direction. The superstructure includes tie rods outside of the recuperator housing, and the tie rods are substantially thermally isolated from the heat of the recuperator assembly by insulation.
