    Abstract: A multistage centrifugal compressor includes a casing, a rotor including a plurality of impellers, a diaphragm defining a gas flow path that includes a return flow path, and at least one liquid injection device configured to inject liquid into the gas flow path. The liquid injection device includes a liquid injection path, an internal path, a chamber, and a plurality of nozzles. The liquid injection path penetrates through the casing at a position corresponding to a return bend. The internal path receives a liquid supply pipe inserted from the liquid injection path through the return bend. The chamber is provided in the diaphragm along a circumferential direction and the liquid is introduced into the chamber through the internal path. The plurality of nozzles inject the liquid introduced into the chamber, to the gas flow path from different positions of the chamber in the circumferential direction.

    Abstract: Embodiments provided herein are directed to systems and methods of re-injecting vaporized flash refrigerant from an economizer into a two-stage compressor. The injection can be through an injection port positioned after the first compression stage. The location of the injection may have a relatively low static refrigerant pressure. The injection port and/or an injection pipe of the economizer may be configured to pre-condition the vaporized flash refrigerant so that a flow velocity and/or direction of the vaporized flash refrigerant flow can be match a flow velocity and/or direction of the refrigerant in the refrigerant conduit.

    Abstract: In an atomizer constructed to cool inlet air for a gas turbine by spraying fine droplets of water into the inlet air, a spray nozzle is disposed to spray the finely atomized droplets of water from an outer edge of an atomized airstream into a high-speed zone thereof, towards a central region of the airstream. The atomized airstream meets an airstream of a low-speed zone formed at a downstream side, and after the two kinds of airstreams have been mixed and unified, this mixture is supplied to an axisymmetric compressor. Devices such as a feed water pipe and spray nozzle are placed in the low-speed zone so as not to obstruct the airstream.
