    摘要: A fluid translating device such as a fluid pump or motor having an outer rotatable ring providing a power input or output member to which a plurality of inwardly extending pistons are secured. The pistons are slidably disposed in cylinders which are freely mounted on a stationary spindle. Fluid is ported to and from a fluid chamber formed by the pistons and cylinders through the spindle, the inner ring and the cylinders. A displacement control mechanism controls the position of the inner ring on the spindle so the inner ring is positioned eccentrically relative to the outer ring whereby the fluid chambers are expansible as the inner and outer rings rotate. The outer ring may be secured to a mechanical member which provides an output drive such as a vehicle wheel or may be driven by a mechanical input such as a motor.

    摘要: In a vehicle or device a fluid motor is employed to drive rotary members, such as wheels, propellers, tracks. The motor is provided with an arrangement which includes a control means and an axially moveable member. By utilizing the control means, for example, by a flow of fluid, the axially moveable member is used to apply an action, which is not common to the usual operation of fluid motors. The arrangement may be used to arrest the rotor of the motor from rotation when no pressure is in the driving fluid line. It may also be used to control the pitch of propellers with variable pitch arrangements. Also possible is to use the arrangement to automatically obtain an auto-rotation of rotor blades on vertical axes of vertically take off and landing vehicles, when the pressure in the fluid line to the motors for driving the motors drops below a predetermined minimum of pressure.The speciality of the preferred embodiment which is shown in FIGS. 18, 19, 24 to 26 and 34 to 37 consists in the provision of a tail propeller, a main lift propeller and a rate of power varying means in the transmission between the power plant and the mentioned propellers. Thereby the tail propeller acts as forward driving propeller, while the main lift propeller may act with vertical or slightly inclined axis or it may be stopped to rest. The vehicle can thereby fly as a helicpoter or selectively as a gyrocopter and as an aircraft flying on wings if the wing assembly is assembled to the vehicle.

    摘要: The invention relates to a hydraulic motor, which comprises a surrounding frame casing; an internal cylinder block with radially arranged cylinders and a stationary axle of the hydraulic motor attached thereto; pistons reciprocating in the cylinders and bearing the inner surface of the frame casing, which surface is formed as a running surface guiding the movement of the pistons; a fluid distributor mounted around the axle to rotate together with the frame casing, for the distribution of the hydraulic fluid into cylinder chambers and away therefrom via openings provided in the cylinder block; and feed and exhaust channels for the hydraulic fluid. The object of the invention is to improve such a hydraulic motor by compensating, without complicated balancing elements, the force caused by the pressurized hydraulic fluid and separating the fluid distributor and the cylinder block. This has been solved according to the invention in such a manner that a ring space is formed between the fluid distributor and the axle, by means of stepped counter surfaces of the axle and the fluid distributor, said ring space being formed in the feed channel for the hydraulic fluid.

    摘要: A pump has in a housing a revolvable shaft which drives a piston stroke guide body. Drive pistons are provided with piston shoes which run on the guide face of the piston stroke guide body and drive fluid supply pistons of smaller diameter. The pump preferies a fluid separator between lubricating and non-lubricating fluid, like for example, between oil and water, whereof one of the fluids flows through an inner chamber which is provided with inlet and outlet valves while the outer fluid acts in an outer chamber which is open toward the cylinder wherein the fluid supply piston reciprocates. Dead space fillers are provided to prevent losses by compression of fluid and seal means are assembled to prevent leakage of fluid from one into the other of the chambers. The fluid separator may be compressible and expandable within the plastic deformable range of the material whereof it is made. The pump includes sophisticated technologies which necessiated more than half a decade of intensive research and testing but it is now capable of pumping fluid, including water, of several thousand atmospheres of pressure.

The fluid under pressure acts in working chambers to produce a torque and thereby to drive the motor, constituting with the associated parts the drive of the motor.At least one separated fluid line supplies fluid into a space which includes or operates an additional member provided on the fluid motor. The mentioned fluid line and space are able to operate independently of the drive system of the motor.It is thereby possible to operate over the fluid line, for example by remote control, the additional member on the motor independently of the fluid flow of the drive of the motor. The additional member is thereby able to do an additional work or function independently of the drive of the motor.In other embodiments of the invention, the additional member may work in unison or dependence on the fluid drive of the motor, when so desired. Instead of applying only a single separated fluid line a number of separated fluid lines can also be applied and may provide different actions of one or more additional members on the fluid motor.

Connecting rods connect the outer ends of pistons in said bores to the inner surface of the rim of said drum to rotate it as said cylinders communicate successively with said fluid inlet and exhaust passages.

    摘要: In an axial piston motor or pump the cylinder barrel is mounted on a medial shaft which has a shoulder which axially bears against the front end of the rotor barrel. The rear end of the medial shaft is radially borne in a housing portion. The front portion of the medial shaft is provided with a bearing member of an axial thrust bearing for support on a respective axial thrust bearing member in the housing. On the rear end of the rotary barrel an axially selfthrusting control body is provided to seal the flow of fluid to and from the cylinders of the rotary barrel. The control body presses against the rotary barrel, the rotary barrel presses against the bearing of the medial shaft and the thrust bearing member of the shaft bears on the thrust bearing member of the housing. As a result thereof the cylinders in the rotary barrel can be straight through bores. The manufacturing of the rotor barrel is thereby simplified and the flow acceleration losses of former sack-bare bore type cylinders are prevented.
