THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO AN HYDRAULIC MOTOR HAVING A NUMBER OF PISTONS ARRANGED FOR RADIAL MOTION IN A CYLINDER BLOCK WHICH PREFERABLY FORMS THE STATIONARY PART OF THE MOTOR. THE PISTONS ARE, OVER PISTON RODS EXTENDING OUTWARDLY OF THE PISTONS, CONNECTED TO CAM ROLLERS ARRANGED FOR COOPERATION WITH AT LEAST ONE CIRCUMFERENTIALLY CLOSED CAM CURVE RADIALLY SURROUNDING SAID CAM ROLLERS. The present invention relates to a subassembly for forming a hydraulic motor after assembly onto an assembly including a shaft, said subassembly including a cover forming a housing element, a multilobe cam, a cylinder block opposite the cam, pistons guided so as to slide radially within the respective cylinders of the cylinder block and bearing on the lobes of the cam, and a valve intended to apply pressurized fluid to said pistons in series, wherein said subassembly includes means for temporarily attaching the cylinder block to the cover and means for accessing an element of the valve through the cover in order to enable, during installation, the angular positioning of said element with respect to the shaft, followed by the attachment thereof to the shaft. The present invention also relates to a method for assembling such a hydrobase.

A hydraulic radial piston motor with a cam disc and a cylinder block with a number of pistons running in cylinders in the block presses rollers against the cam disc in such a way that a torsional moment arises. The rollers are formed with guide members running in slots in guide units which take up tangential forces. The rollers are mounted in roller cages which are formed with hydrostatic bearings. At their outer end each piston is formed with a part-spherical bearing surface and the roller cage has a cooperating part-spherical bearing surface, which allows angular movements between the roller cages and the pistons in all directions.
