    摘要: A system for positioning an engine control element has a sensor measuring a value corresponding to the actual position of the element, a reference providing a command value establishing the proper position for the element, an electronic control which compares the measured value with the command value, and an actuator including a fluid pressure responsive motor for moving the element and a pressure regulator directed by the electronic control to regulate the fluid pressure delivered to the motor and cause the motor to move the control element to the proper position. The pressure regulator has a coil energized by the electronic control and a valve member which floats between a regulated-pressure-reducing bias caused by the magnetic flux created in the coil and a regulated-pressure-increasing bias caused by a varying but uncontrolled pressure differential.

    摘要: Air-fuel mixture control apparatus for a carbureted internal combustion engine having air bleed and fuel supply passages comprises a detector for sensing pre-combustion data such as engine operating parameters and an exhaust gas sensor for providing post-combustion data. The pre-combustion data is used to control the fuel flow rate, while the post-combustion data controls the passage of air through the air bleed. The pre-combustion data minimize the delay from the instant of disturbance to the engine to the instant at which a response is observed.

    摘要: An engine air/fuel control system and method is provided having feedback control responsive to an exhaust gas oxygen sensor. A fuel command responsive to the EGO sensor is modulated (312) and the modulation disabled in response to detection of an air/fuel transient period (502-510, 610). In addition, feedback control gain is increased (514, 614) and the modulation signal held at a value opposite the state of the EGO sensor occurring upon initiation of the air/fuel transient period (510, 610). An indication is provided that the air/fuel transient is terminated when the EGO sensor switching frequency resumes a normal condition (522-528, 622-628). Modulation is thereafter resumed and the feedback gain restored (532-538, 632-638).

    摘要: A closed loop mixture control system for an internal combustion engine includes a two-barrel carburetor having a primary throttle and a secondary throttle which is adapted to be automatically brought into action when the primary venturi depression reaches a predetermined value.
