    摘要: The fire-protection glazing includes at least two glass panes, between which a transparent layer of a fire-protection layer is arranged, wherein the fire-protection layer includes a hydrogel. The educts of the fire-protection layer include water-soluble, non-toxic monofunctional monomers in an acid environment as well as at least one bifunctional or polyfunctional monomer and, as the case may be, an initiator, in an aqueous salt solution or in an aqueous salt dispersion. The monofunctional and the bifunctional or polyfunctional monomers are not toxic, not carcinogenic and not mutagenic.

    摘要: The addition of nanoparticulate silica to sealants which are applied to the exposed edges of fire resistant laminated glazings provides an improved seal. Preferably the silica is present as an Ormosil dispersed in a polymerisable organic medium. Methods for applying such a medium to the edges of a glazing and polymerising it in situ are also claimed. The seals can be used to replace known metal tapes. The use of transparent seals provides a seal having an improved appearance.

    摘要: Fire-retardant sheet element can be composed of several fire protection glass plates (2, 3). Lateral edges (9, 10) of adjacent glass plates (2, 3) therein abut one another. Into the interspace (26) between lateral edges (9, 10) a sealing configuration (7) is installed. This comprises an addition element (22) and elastic sealing elements (23, 24). The glass plates (2, 3) comprise several glass panes (16) and interspaced fire protection layers (18). These fire protection layers (18) do not extend up to the edges (9, 10) and are sealed in the regions of the lateral edges with a barrier material (20). No additional frame elements for covering the interspace (26) and for sealing are necessary.

    摘要: A fire resistant frame structure for a facade or glass roof, includes a column profile, and a beam profile connectable to the column profile to form a support construction and so positioned relative to the column profile as to form spaces for receiving fire protection glasswork. The column profile and the beam rofile are each made of aluminum and comprised of a supporting core member for receiving static loads, an enclosure surrounding the core member, connecting members joining the core member to the enclosure at formation of a hollow chamber, and adsorbent material received in the hollow chamber and having heat absorbing and hydrophilic properties. The connecting members are formed by bridge members which provide a low heat conductivity to effect a low heat flux from the enclosure to the core member. Thus, crystal water can be released when the adsorbent material is subject to a certain temperature level to thereby cool the metallic framework.
