    Abstract: A hinge assembly includes a first hinged body, a pivot pin assembly, and a second hinged body. The first hinged body includes a channel. The pivot pin assembly includes a pin body configured to slideably engage the channel. The pivot pin assembly may be translated within the channel and adjustably secured along the channel. The pin body includes a downwardly extending pin. The second hinged body comprises a pin aperture configured to cooperatively receive the pin. The first hinged body and the second hinged body are configured to hingedly pivot along a hinge axis defined by the pin when the pin is received in the pin aperture. The pin body may include a pin body aperture configured to receive an alignment fastener such that the pin body may be tilt adjusted relative to the first hinged body.

    Abstract: A hinge includes a second connector having a hollow pivotal device of which a peripheral outside protrudes outward to form a locking rib, and a first connector having a pivotal sleeve which is pivotally sleeved to the pivotal device to make the first connector rotatable relative to the second connector. The locking rib is able to slide along and abut against a peripheral inside of the pivotal sleeve to produce friction resistance force therebetween for positioning the first connector at any inclined angle relative to the second connector. A fastening pin is disposed in the pivotal device of the second connector and spaced from a peripheral inside of the pivotal device so that can make the pivotal device pressed inward to produce an outward elasticity to strengthen the friction resistance force between the locking rib and the peripheral inside of the pivotal sleeve.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a hinge comprising a shaft including an enlarged head, a cylindrical body, flats equally spaced apart around the body, and a threaded bore in the body; a paw including an abutment member, elongate elastic members curved outward from the abutment member, and a hole through the abutment member; and a fastener. The paw is clung to the body with the elastic members aligned with the corresponding flats. The fastener is driven through the hole into the bore to fasten the shaft and the paw. The fastener can be driven through the cover and the container to compress the elastic members inward until the open ends of the elastic members have passed the hole. Immediately, the open ends of the elastic members expand outward for sandwiching the cover and the container between the head of the shaft and the open ends of the elastic members.

    Abstract: A hinge includes a first leaf member with a pair of knuckles receiving a hinge pin therethrough. The knuckles include a retainer member which extends into the path of the pin. Annular grooves formed in the pin receive the retainer member to keep the pin from easily sliding in and out of the hinge. One of the grooves includes a straight side and a tapered side while the second groove includes a pair of tapered sides for allowing the retainer member to slide over the second groove but not over the first groove. In this manner, the pin may not be forced beyond the retainer member and is held in place even when pulled out of the first knuckle for removing secondly.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for assembling spring frame hinges that utilize a pin having a tapered self-aligning section, a stepped midsection and a raised diameter stopping element. By harvesting the offsetting tension created by the hinge tang and curls the pin is easily inserted, lockingly held securely in place without the use of any additional fastening technique and yet can be non-destructively disassembled with little difficulty. In preferred embodiments of the invention audio confirmation that the pin has been properly inserted is achieved and a locking flush pin is disclosed.
