Abstract: A latch for releasably locking a first object to a second object is disclosed. The latch includes: a housing, fixed to the first object; a locking member, accommodated in the housing and pivotable between a locked position and an unlocked position in respect to the housing along a lateral axis, when the locking member is located in the locked position, its locking portions are capable of extending from the housing, and when the locking member is in the unlocked position, its locking portions retract into the housing; an operating member, at least partially accommodated in the housing, the operating member is capable of performing a longitudinal movement between a first position and a second position in respect to the housing, and a direction of the longitudinal movement is substantially perpendicular to the lateral axis; wherein the operating member is coupled with the locking member, such that a movement of the operating member is capable of being converted into a pivoting movement of the locking member, when the operating member moves longitudinally forward from the first position to the second position, the locking member is pivoted from the locked position to the unlocked position. A locking structure is also disclosed.

Abstract: A door latch system comprises an interchangeable latch assembly for securing a door to a door frame. The interchangeable latch assembly comprises a head and a latch mounted to the head. The latch is moveable between latched and unlatched positions. A driven member is operatively connected to the latch, the driven member moveable to latch or unlatch the latch. The door latch system further comprises a universal actuating assembly removably couple-able to the interchangeable latch assembly. The universal actuating assembly comprises a mounting bracket and a driving member releasably coupled to the driven member. Actuation of the universal actuating assembly translates the driving member and the driven member, moving the latch to the unlatched position. A first interchangeable latch assembly may be swapped with a second interchangeable latch assembly without requiring modification of the universal actuating assembly.

Abstract: One embodiment of an improved gate latch pull cable of the type be made of metal for durability and having a one clevis dip secured to one end for easy attachment to a gate latch, and a pull loop secured with a cable sleeve on the other end for securely grasping the cable. The clevis clip incorporates an integral clevis pin eliminating loose parts, and a fillet transition to the cable to prevent it from catching on edges. Surrounding the cable is a tapered return-spring which assists in gate latch closure, and a spring cup which fits in a gate post hole for centering the large diameter of the spring over the hole. The small diameter of the spring is proximal to the clevis clip, and lightly pushes against a gate latch cam. The tapered spring cons fit inside each other when compressed allowing the gate latch to fully open.

Abstract: A latch structure according to an embodiment includes a body, a locking body, a latch head, a plunger, and a latch stopper. The body is disposed inside a door. The locking body moves in response to an external operation. The latch head protrudes from the body to maintain the door in a closed position, and rotates when the locking body is spaced apart at least a predetermined distance. The plunger retracts into the body to prevent the latch head from rotating while the door is being closed. The latch stopper prevents the protruding latch head from retracting into the body when the plunger is maintained within the body.
