Abstract:
Hardware for a lift glide door assembly and lift glide window assembly provides ease of opening with an operational opening assist that urges the door or window to an open position on operation of an opening handle. A lock mechanism actuates a lock pin, blocks opening gear mechanisms from operating and extends a security bolt for locking. A guide blade is provided for assisting the door during opening or closing operations.
Abstract:
A sliding assistance mechanism for helping a switching operation of a moving body on a main body side, includes a case attached to the main body side; first and second moving members slidably placed in the case, respectively; a pair of latches pivotally supported at each moving member, respectively, and releasably locked to corresponding parts of a case side; an urging device provided between both moving members; and a guide groove provided in the case for moving the latches along the same; and first and second operational members spaced apart from each other and provided in the moving body. When the moving members are at a halfway position, an engagement of one of the latches with the second operational member provided in the second moving member is released, and the moving body is pulled by the urging device to the second position.
Abstract:
A sliding door latching and locking system is disclosed which includes a latch assembly, a lift rod assembly, and a retainer assembly, among other things. In some embodiments, the latch assembly includes a support member mounted in a movable body and a latching arm pivotally mounted to the support member having a distal end thereof extending outside of the periphery of the movable body, wherein the distal end includes an engagement facilitating portion with a sloped outer surface for contacting an interlocking member.
Abstract:
A multipoint lock for sliding doors. The multipoint lock mounted to a sliding door generally includes an active locking device having an active latch, and two passive locking devices, each having a passive latch. The latches are independently depth adjustable relative to an edge of the sliding door. The active locking device further includes sets of fastener apertures for receiving and securing a handle assembly thereto in at least two different positions. A lever having an actuator pin of the handling assembly can be positioned at various locations on the handle assembly such that fastener apertures of the handle assembly align with a different set of handle apertures of the active locking device depending on the position of the lever, Actuation of the active locking device by movement of the lever shifts the active latch and the passive latches simultaneously between locked and unlocked positions.
Abstract:
A reach out lock for a sliding door is disclosed. The reach out lock includes keeper having a keeper latch and a locking mechanism having a hook to engage the keeper latch. The reach out lock further includes a mechanism which prevents actuation of the locking mechanism if the locking mechanism is out of alignment with the keeper.
Abstract:
A lock for mounting on a window jamb for selectively grasping a keeper on a window sash to secure the sash closed against the jamb, including a base for mounting to the jamb and defining an open interior space along one side of the base, a rigid plate secured to the base adjacent the open interior space and including a guide slot therein, and a motor driven drive gear pivotable within the open interior space about a first axis. A pawl is secured to the drive gear at one end for pivoting about a second axis spaced from and substantially parallel to the first axis, and includes a keeper grasping portion at its other end. A guide pin projects from the pawl and is slidably received in the guide slot whereby rotation of the drive gear moves the keeper grasping portion of the pawl between the open position and the locking position. An indicator is pivoted in the base through engagement with a drive gear pin and the pawl during movement of the pawl to selectively position one of two visually different portions at a base window opening to visually display the position of the pawl. A paddle is movably mounted within the lock base open interior space, and a switch is operably connected to the paddle provides feedback to actuate power to the motor to move the pawl to the locking position when the paddle is engaged by movement of a keeper into the base open interior space.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a mechanism for closing and locking two doors of the cowling of an aircraft engine. This mechanism includes a bolt which is received in a chamber of a receptacle. The bolt is connected to one door and the receptacle is connected to the other door so that, upon closure of the two doors, the bolt slips into the chamber. A cam attached to a rotary member housed within the chamber enables a single mechanic to close the doors and lock them snugly. This cam engages a finger on the bolt upon rotation of the rotary member which draws the bolt into the chamber by pulling against the finger. The cam moves into an over center position which securely locks the bolt in place without locking bolt travel. A locking device is additionally provided for locking the rotatable member in position when the bolt is locked in place. This locking device has a plunger which provides audible signals when the cam is in the fully opened position and when the mechanism is securely locked.
Abstract:
A hook member for securing and snugging a door of a structure such as a barn is provided with a cam lever which may be manually rotated after the hook member is engaged with a latch bar on the door to move the hook member longitudinally away from the door and thus pull the door snugly against the portion of the structure on which the hook member is mounted. The cam hooks of the invention may be mounted inside a building to snug the rear edge portions of single or double sliding doors against the building wall, or to snug the front edge portion of a single sliding door or of a hinged door against the jamb; and may also be used to snug the forward edges of a pair of double sliding doors together either from the inside or from the outside.
Abstract:
A lock assembly for latching an up and down movable door to a keeper secured to a sill of a trailer includes a main lever disposed on main shaft to operate a linkage mechanism to move a hook latch against the keeper.
