In one aspect, a lock clip (80) of the lock assembly (70) enables operation of the lock assembly (70) when the cover (40) is in the closed position. In another aspect, the lock clip (80) disables operation of the lock assembly (70) when the cover (40) is in the open position such that the lock assembly (70) is prevented from being operated out of the open position. In yet another aspect, the key (60) is prevented from being removed from the cover (40) when the key (60) operates the lock assembly (70) out of the locked position.

A first aperture runs through the front surface. A cavity is adjacent the first aperture, and the cavity includes a second aperture. A set of pin insertion channels run through the side wall and the cavity, terminating at one end in a wall within the plate. A blocking pin is adapted to be inserted in the set of pin insertion channels and be locked into place over the second aperture. A tubular cylinder lock is adapted to be inserted in the first aperture and into the lock retaining housing. A first fastener is adapted to be inserted through the second aperture to engage a second mating fastener.

摘要： A high security locking assembly for an above-ground communications network enclosure comprises a claw-like structure having, at one end, a slide bar with an end plate that carries a first set of locking pins, and a base plate, at the other end, having an end plate that carries a second set of locking pins. The slide bar travels axially in a guide channel below a rigid frame that holds a captive locking bolt positioned to engage one of a series of axially spaced locking holes on the slide bar. The locking pins face one another and are adapted for sliding into corresponding locking pin holes in the sides of enclosure. The claw-like structure is closed by sliding the slide bar into the guide channel, and positioning the pins in the locking pin holes, followed by locking the captive locking bolt in a selected one of the locking holes.
