Abstract:
A lockable latch (8) is disclosed for walk-in cold rooms which includes a lockable strike (10) with an exterior strike assembly (16) and an interior release assembly (17). The exterior strike assembly includes a housing (25) and a rod holder (32) configured to releasably hold a coupling rod (35). The exterior strike assembly also has a metal anti-rotation plate (40) removably coupled to the housing. The interior release assembly includes a turn knob (53), an escutcheon plate (54), and an index washer (55). The turn knob includes two oppositely disposed alignment projections (77) and a radial array of steps (78) which includes four, re-occurring series of three steps. The index washer has a four time re-occurring series of steps (93).
Abstract:
A door safety locking apparatus door safety locking apparatus including: a body mounted inside a housing; a locker mounted inside a door opening and closing the interior of the housing in such a manner as to be separably fitted to the body; a dog coupled to the interior of the body by means of a shaft and having a locking protrusion formed on the upper end thereof to lock a coupling hole pierced on the locker thereonto; a tilting rod coupled at the front end thereof to the dog by means of a pin and coupled at the end portion thereof to the bottom surface of the interior of the body by means of a hinge, to guide the dog being rotated around the shaft in accordance with the pulling operation of the locker; and a spring fitted around the outer periphery of the tilting rod to elastically support the tilting rod guiding the rotating operation of the dog.

Abstract:
An apparatus for securing a lid of a trash bin includes a frame couplable to a wall of the trash bin. The frame defines a housing which at least partially encloses moving parts of the locking mechanism. This housing inhibits tampering with the locking mechanism and protects the locking mechanism against exposure to the trash placed in the bin. In addition, the apparatus includes a coupler for holding the housing against the wall of the trash bin so as to prevent unauthorized access from outside the trash bin while permitting an individual locked inside the trash bin to decouple a portion of the frame from the bin to permit the individual to exit the bin.
Abstract:
A lock for a refrigerator or the like which can be unlocked from the inside thereof comprises a handle unit mounted on a door and a keeper mounted on a body frame wall of the refrigerator or the like. The keeper is constituted by a fixed seat and a movable body having its outer proximal end pivotally attached to the outer end of the fixed seat. A follower pin provided at an intermediate portion of a lock shaft is slidably urged by a spring toward the fixed seat inner end so as to abut on an inclined cam surface formed on the outer end surface of the fixed seat inner end. An actuating lever pivotally attached to the outer end of the fixed seat is rotated with a push rod, inside the refrigerator or the like, which is inserted through a guide hole in the center of the fixed seat so that the follower pin is pushed by the inner end of the actuating lever to cause the lock shaft to slide outwardly while rotating, to permit the lock shaft to escape from a bearing hole in the movable body, thereby allowing the movable body to be rotatable with respect to the fixed seat.
Abstract:
Retainer means is disposed at the outer face of a door for holding door fastening means against rotation and maintaining the door locked in closed position. Safety means carried by the door is releasably engageable with the retainer means for normally securing the latter to the door. The safety means is manually operable at the inner face of the door for releasing the retainer means from the door whereby to unlock the door fastening means so that the door may be opened from the inside.
