    摘要: Barricade devices and methods of barricading a door are disclosed. Such devices and methods may be used to barricade a door, and thereby prevent an intruder from entering a sheltering space, such as a classroom, storeroom, or hallway. The barricade-device may have a pivotable stop-device that is pivotable from a location adjacent to a door. The pivot-location may be at an elevation that is lower than a door handle on the door. The stop-device may be pivotable from a reserve-position to a stop-position. In the reserve-position, the stop-device does not barricade the door. In the barricade-position, the stop-device barricades the door. Operation of the barricade-device may require the use of one or more major muscle groups of the body, but need not require precise dexterity of the fingers or hands (e.g. such as that required to manipulate small keys, latches, and/or the grasping and turning of assemblies). As such, the barricade-device may be used properly and quickly by a wide range of people having differing physical and mental capabilities.

    摘要: An electric lock comprises a bolt that is movable into and out of a specially-shaped keeper. The bolt is displaced relative to a casing by a motor that is in turn slidably mounted within the casing. During normal use, the motor is fixed relative to the casing by an electromagnetic, and urged away from the electromagnet by a spring that is weaker than the electromagnet. When the power supply to the lock is intentionally or unintentionally cut off, the spring thus urges the motor, and with it the bolt, away from the electromagnet, thereby automatically opening the lock.

The clutch may also comprise an input gear configured to be coupled to an actuator output, and a coupler coupled to the input gear such that the coupler and input gear rotate together. The coupler may be configured to translate between an engaged position and a disengaged position, where the inclined projection of the thumb turn shaft is configured to move the coupler from the disengaged position to the engaged position when the thumb turn shaft rotates relative to the coupler. In the disengaged position the coupler may be decoupled from the output shaft.

    摘要: A closure lock which utilizes the operating motor for moving of the closure as the locking mechanism. A shorting circuit is applied across the motor when the closure is in an at-rest position. Any attempt at manually moving of the closure between the closed position of the closure and the open position of the closure will require the rotor of the motor to be rotated relative to the stator of the motor. This requires a significant amount of motor drag to be overcome which is difficult and thereby functions as a locking mechanism preventing operating of the closure. This closure lock can be bypassed by an authorized person by the opening of a manually operated switch which will permit the closure to be easily moved between its open and closed position.
