Abstract: This invention discloses an automatic locking device for snow anti-skid chains. Wherein the snow anti-skid chain comprises a ratchet wheel lock catch and a anti-skid chain; the anti-skid chain is respectively fixed at the buckle and the outer part of the housing aforesaid, and extends towards three directions. The ratchet wheel lock catch is used to make the anti-skid chain to attach to automobile tires firmly and is controlled by pressing two buttons on its lower side, which is different from existing operational actions of braking off and twisting. The pressing action is simple and available for one hand operation. The overall structure is simple and reliable, conforming to use habits of control actions by users.

Abstract: A magnetic lock which requires only a single magnet for operation, yet which is biased into a locking position. A latch is slideably mounted in a slide way defined by a housing with a latch opening at one end. The latch comprises a magnet at its base, and a latch positioner of ferromagnetic material is positioned within the housing alongside the latch. The positioner is longer than the magnet, such that the magnetic field biases the magnet to locate at the center of the length of the latch positioner. The latch itself is sufficiently long that it projects beyond the latch opening of the housing when the magnet is allowed to center. The slide way is open below the magnet a sufficient distance that when a “key” of a ferromagnetic, or optionally magnetic, material, is located near the base of the housing, the magnet and its associated latch are drawn further into the housing a sufficient distance that the latch is drawn out of the way of an associated catch.

Abstract: A lock cylinder of a motor vehicle has a cylinder housing formed from plastic and the cylinder housing has an opening for receiving a cylinder core. The plastic of the cylindrical housing is reinforced at least in certain regions with aramid fibers. Thus, the cylinder housing is extremely robust and increases the forcing resistance of a door lock equipped therewith.

Abstract: A sash lock (10) is provided for a sash window assembly (12). The sash window assembly includes an upper sash window (14) and a lower sash window (16). Each of the sash windows (14, 16) are mounted within opposed guide rails (20) on a master frame (22) wherein at least one of the sash windows is slidable within the frame (20) relative to the other sash window. Abstract: A sash lock for a sash window assembly is disclosed. The sash window assembly includes an upper sash window and a lower sash window. Abstract: A door handle assembly having a snap-in attachment apparatus for assembling a key cylinder to a door handle assembly without the use of separate fasteners and retainers. The door handle assembly has a bored tubular extension that utilizes slots to define tubular sections that yield radially outward upon inserting the key cylinder into the bore of the tubular extension. The tubular sections have openings that receive lugs extending from the periphery of the key cylinder and that prohibit inward axial movement and rotary movement of the key cylinder. A shoulder in the door handle assembly abuts an end of the key cylinder to prohibit outward axial movement of the key cylinder. The engaging surfaces of the lugs and tubular sections have drafted angles that pull the tubular sections radially inward toward the key cylinder upon a push-in force applied to the key cylinder from outside the vehicle and directed toward the center of the vehicle. The tubular extension and key cylinder also have alignment surfaces for orientating a key slot of the key cylinder in a conventional vertical position.
