    摘要: Disclosed herein is a modular structural and electrical building system. The system includes first and second structural support members. In use, the second end of the first structural support member is adjacent the first end of the second structural support member. The system further includes at least one conductor bar secured to each of the structural members. In addition, the system utilizes conductor bar connectors for maintaining electrical connectivity from one conductor bar to the next on the same structural support member and a power drop connector for connecting electrical power carried by the conductor bar to various pieces of equipment. In addition, a jump cable provides a bridge for electrical power from the conductor bar on the first structural member to the conductor bar secured to an adjacent structural member.

    摘要: A linear construction truss comprising a hollow shell with a square cross section and a core composed of linked tetrahedra, and a method of manufacturing of said linear construction truss comprising the steps of bending sheet metal strips to create a tetrahedral core such that the faces of the tetrahedral alternate between approximately 109.5 degrees and approximately 289.5 degrees throughout the length of the sheet metal strips. Strips of sheet metal are further bent to form a hollow shell with a square cross section rigidly attached to the core in a spiral pattern. The triangular faces are chamfered to better enable the connection between the core and hollow shell. The sheet metal is cut in such a way such that the perforations do not impinge on the edges of the tetrahedral.

    摘要: A modular truss system includes an upper chord and a lower chord. Each of the upper and lower chords has a pair of terminal ends and each of the upper and lower chords is arcuate between associated ones of the pair of terminal ends. A plurality of branches is removably attached to and extends between the upper and lower chords. Each of the branches has a first end and a second end comprising a saddle that receives one of the upper or lower chords at a fixed angle with respect to the upper and lower chords. The saddles ensure the branches are properly placed on the upper and lower chords.

    摘要: A movable solar array and method for capturing solar energy which includes a V-shaped longitudinal support forming a corner of an elongated truss located at each angle of a polygonal axial cross-section where an open web is fixedly attached between each V-shaped longitudinal support extending the length of the elongated truss. An end member is fixedly attached at each end of the support truss and includes a shaft extending longitudinally outwardly from the end member adapted to engage a drive to longitudinally rotate the elongated truss. Solar panels are attached along one face of the elongated truss, and at least one rotatable drive is capable of driving the shafts at the end of the elongated truss to move the solar panels in relation to a change of direction of incoming solar energy.
