    摘要： In an apparatus on a combing machine for monitoring the noil percentage, having a supply device, a combing device for combing out fibre material to be combed and at least one device for forming a combed sliver, at least one arrangement is present for continuous automatic generation of a signal representing the noil percentage when the combing machine is running, the arrangement comprising at least one measuring device for the quantity of supplied fibre material and at least one measuring device for the quantity of combed fibre material and a calculating means for determining the noil percentage. For monitoring and optimisation of the noil percentage, the or each measuring device for measuring the amount of combed fibre material may comprise a measuring device for a comber sliver having a feeler element or a contactless sensor.

    摘要： In a feed comb arrangement for a combing machine comprising an intermittently driven pair of feed rollers preceding the feed comb arrangement in the transport direction of the fiber web to be combed and a take-down arrangement, in particular in the form of take-down rollers, following the feed comb arrangement, it is provided for the purpose of increasing smoothness of running, of avoiding accumulations of impurities and of attaining an effective transport that the feed comb arrangement is formed by a plurality of fallers, which are intermittently driven in synchronization with the combing operation and which are covered with needles or saw-toothed stamped elements, respectively, which fallers extend on their two outer ends into closed guideways in such a manner, that during part of the route of rotation the needles or saw-toothed points, respectively, engage with the fiber web and on the other hand the needles or saw-toothed points, respectively, upwardly leave the fiber web after having traveled a transport motion.

    摘要： A cleaning arrangement for the pressing rollers of a combing machine which are pressed toward associated detaching rollers includes at least one cleaning roller which is mounted for free rotation in engagement with the respective pressing roller about an axis parallel to that of such pressing roller. The cleaning roller has a smooth outer surface to which fibers will not adhere. During the operation of the combing machine, the pressing rollers conduct controlled intermittent rotary movements, but the cleaning roller does not immediately follow such movements; rather, a certain degree if slippage occurs between the cleaning roller and the respective pressing roller, resulting in stripping off of any fibers which may adhere to the pressing roller. Such detached fibers then fall onto the fibrous web being combed, which passes between the pressing rollers and the associated detaching rollers but, because of the relatively small quantity of such detached fibers, the quality of the web does not suffer to any appreciable extent.
