摘要:
The present disclosure relates to a pharmaceutical composition for improving and treating leukotrichia and/or alopecia and a preparation method thereof. In the present disclosure, the pharmaceutical composition includes glucoraphanin and myrosinase as active ingredients, where the glucoraphanin has a content of 0.1% to 50% and the myrosinase has a total enzyme activity of 0.1 mU to 10 U based on a total weight of the pharmaceutical composition. The pharmaceutical composition shows safety, rapidity, effective improvement and treatment of leukotrichia and/or alopecia, and wide application range for subjects.

The claimed invention provides therapeutic as well as protective measures against colorectal cancer by utilizing genetically modified gut bacteria (101) in conjunction with an optimized diet high in cruciferous vegetable intake. According to the claimed system and method, engineered gut bacteria maximize the therapeutic value of the cruciferous vegetable diet to eradicate, offset or prophylactically prevent the onset of colorectal cancer. In the claimed invention gut bacteria Escherichia coli bind specifically to the heparan sulphate proteoglycan on colorectal cancer cells to secrete the enzyme myrosinase to transform host-ingested glucosinolates which are natural components of cruciferous vegetables to sulphoraphane, an organic small molecule with known anti-cancer activity.

摘要:
According to the present invention, a method for stably accumulating a target protein in plant cells or a plant body, and a transgenic plant in which protein has accumulated, are provided. The method of the present invention is a method for accumulating protein in plant cells, comprising accumulating a target protein or a protein deficient in an N-terminal region of the target protein in vacuoles of myrosin cells present in a multiple mutant, in which myrosin cells deficient in intravacuolar protein are also present in a plant body at locations other than around vascular bundles, by expressing a gene that encodes a target protein having an intracellular membrane system localization signal on the N-terminal and a vacuole localization signal on the C-terminal in the multiple mutant.

The present disclosure relates to the synergistic combination of a sulforaphane precursor, an enzyme capable of converting the sulforaphane precursor to sulforaphane, a cofactor of the enzyme, and a glucan. The present disclosure also relates to the synergistic combination of sulforaphane or a derivative thereof and a glucan. The present disclosure also relates to the synergistic combination of a broccoli extract or powder and a glucan. The glucan may be a β-glucan. The glucan may be provided in a mushroom extract or powder selected from one or more of a maitake, a shiitake, or a reishi mushroom. Compositions and methods relating to these combinations are described.

The inventors have observed that aqueous mustard seed extract appears to be cytotoxic to fibroblast cells. The cytotoxicity of the aqueous mustard seed extract appears to abate when the extract is heat treated at 120° C. for 15 minutes. The heat treated aqueous mustard seed extract when combined with exogenous myrosinase is not cytotoxic but can induce a modest increase in HO-1 content in cultured fibroblasts and thus would be expected to be useful in a topical composition for treating/preventing itchy skin, particularly the scalp. This invention thus relates to the provision of a topical composition for treating/preventing itchy skin, particularly the scalp.
