    摘要: Systems and methods for treatment of wastewater in waste processing ponds and other enclosed bodies of water are provided. An aerator are configured to include a first set of concentric air hoses disposed at a first position between the water outflow lip and the water intake, the first set of concentric air hoses being in fluid communication with an air inlet disposed at a position on the upper float chassis above the surface level of the water; and a second set of concentric air hoses disposed at a second position between the water first set of concentric air hoses and the water intake, the second set of concentric air hoses being in fluid communication with the air inlet, wherein the first set of concentric air hoses and the second set of concentric air hoses emit jets of air bubbles into the water column between the water intake and the water outflow lip.

    摘要: An orbital wastewater treatment system includes a tank assembly, at least one impeller, at least one flow-diversion mechanism, at least one actuator, optionally at least one sensor disposed in the tank assembly, and a control unit. The tank assembly has three treatment zones and pairs of passages between the first zone and the second zone and between the second zone and the third zone. The impeller disposed in the tank assembly moves mixed liquor under process about the tank assembly. Multiple flow-diversion mechanisms disposed at the passages between the zones of each pair control process conditions pursuant to a predetermined schedule and/or at least partially in accordance with input from the one or more sensors.

    摘要: The invention provides an integrated water treatment system suitable for use in the treatment of contaminated water, wastewater, potable water, aquaculture, industrial water and polluted water bodies. An integrated water treatment system according to at least one embodiment of the invention comprises a plurality of modules adapted to float in a body of water integrating a plurality of different attached growth biofilm media types positioned within a plurality of water flow paths and circulations. The conditions provided by a multiple of media types and plurality of flow paths creates a multiplier effect increasing the number of treatment zones and an increased diversity of interconnected treatment process zone types. Embodiments of the invention provide a diversity of conditions and biological habitats establishing a poly-culture of producers, consumers and higher organisms in an ecosystem of biological treatment processes, with complex metabolic pathways and food chains increasing treatment efficiency and the range of pollutants which may be effectively treated. Modules comprised in the system are adjustable in operational rate, series, and timing, and are movable in configuration and/or proximity providing a new type of adaptable, re-configurable and adjustable multi-zone, integrated ecological biofilm water treatment system.

    摘要: A method and system for controlling dissolved oxygen levels in a secondary treatment system of a wastewater treatment facility that can employ a membrane bioreactor in which oxygen introduction into mixed liquor is controlled to prevent bulking and minimize generation of extra cellular polymeric substances. The control is exercised by insuring that dissolved oxygen levels within the mixed liquor do not fall below a minimum system level at which microorganism stress would occur. This is done by setting a minimum dissolved oxygen level control point equal to a sum of the minimum system level and an adjustment factor determined on the basis of oxygen uptake rate and time delays inherent in sensing oxygen levels and changes thereof within the mixed liquor. The minimum system dissolved oxygen level can be continually calculated on the basis of an inferred food to mass ratio that would vary with sensed mixed liquor suspended solids.

The system includes a hydraulic dam generated by an induced downwelling of effluent water from a plurality of water circulating devices. A series of linearly arranged treatment sub-systems are disposed upstream of the hydraulic dam. The treatment sub-systems include a water sterilization sub-system for neutralizing harmful and undesirable micro-organisms using an ultrasonic energy generating unit. The ultrasonic energy generated, is of a frequency that disrupts cellular structures in targeted micro-organisms.

    摘要: An activated sludge wastewater treatment method is provided. The disclosed method includes: receiving a stream of wastewater into a mixed liquor in an uncovered activated sludge basin; introducing high purity oxygen to the mixed liquor in the activated sludge basin to produce euoxic conditions (i.e. a dissolved oxygen level in the range of between about 5 mg to 15 mg) in the activated sludge basin; passing a portion of the mixed liquor in the activated sludge basin through a clarifier to separate activated sludge and produce an effluent stream and an activated sludge stream; and recycling a portion of the activated sludge stream to the activated sludge basin to produce a mixed liquor having a solids loading of between about 3000 mg and about 10000 mg of suspended solids per liter of mixed liquor and a solids retention time of between about 7 days and 40 days.

    摘要: Apparatus for contacting a liquid, in a tank containing a body of same, with a gas from a gas space overlying the body of liquid. A generally tubular draft member is disposed in the tank, having a cylindrical main body portion and an outwardly flared conical inlet upper section forming a liquid inlet at its upper end. Enclosing walls of the conical inlet section form an angle with the draft member central axis of from 5.degree. to 35.degree. and the conical inlet section has a vertical height of from 0.25 to 1.25 times diameter of the draft member. A rotatable axial pumping impeller is provided in the draft member for rotational vortex entrainment of gas in downwardly flowing liquid pumped through the draft member. Baffle means are positioned in the conical inlet section of the draft member to prevent bulk rotation of liquid in the tank during rotation of the impeller.
