摘要: A sheet feeder comprises a feed deck for supporting a stack of sheets (65) to be fed. The feed deck may be formed by a bed of freely spinning rollers. A feed block (62) comprises a friction pad (66) that projects from the bottom of the feed block (62) towards a drive belt (42) to define a gate therebetween. The drive belt (42) frictionally engages the underside of a bottom sheet of the stack (65) and urges the sheet towards the gate. The feed block (62) comprises a front face (72) immediately upstream from the gate, which is inclined at a sharp angle to the feed direction. The friction pad (66) comprises a lower face that is substantially parallel to the feed direction and does not intersect the plane of the feed block front face (72).

摘要: Printing apparatus is provided for printing information on a vertical stack of horizontal vertically-spaced planar objects arranged in a housing, including a separating arrangement for removing the lowermost object from the stack, and a printing device for printing information on the removed object. The stack is supported by a plurality of support arrangements each including a support member mounted for reciprocatory horizontal displacement by an electromagnetic drive device between positions that are adjacent and remote from the stack, respectively. Each support member is guided during this displacement by a guide arrangement including at least one guide lever having a first end pivotally connected with the housing, and a second end connected with a guide follower roller that is in engagement with a guide cam surface carried by the support member. The generation of noise is avoided as a consequence of the accurate guidance of the components.

摘要: A supplement feeder for flat objects, comprising a receiving device with a stack compartment for receiving objects in the form of a stack, and a takeoff device for taking off individual objects from the stack, wherein the stack compartment has a front contact region against which the front edge of the stack rests, and equipped with guiding elements for guiding and shaping the stack, comprising a stack shoe that is arranged at the rear edge of the stack in order to guide the stack in the direction of the front contact region. According to the disclosure, this supplement feeder is equipped with a takeoff device for taking off individual objects from the object stack, and at least one component of the guiding elements, and in particular the stack shoe, is coupled to a knocking unit that transmits a discrete knock impact onto the respective component of the guiding element. Thereby malfunctions in the form of missed takeoffs or multiple takeoffs when taking off objects can be largely avoided.

In order to be able to process different objects with properties differing from one another, particularly objects of different type and thickness, with the feeder in continuous operation without problems and without congestion and to provide a feeder for different objects that is as flexible as possible and that is capable of processing both thick and thin objects without lasting deformations while largely avoiding takeoff errors, the gate has a first gate device and a second gate device. Thereby an object taken off the stack can be brought into engagement either with the first gate device or with the second gate device and led through the gate.

摘要: A cut-sheet feeder has a feed belt, a belt contact amount adjuster, and an inclined guide member. The belt makes contact with the lowermost cut sheet of a stack of cut sheets and feeds forward the cut sheet. The belt contact amount adjuster supports the stack of cut sheets while lifting the read portion thereof from the feed belt. The inclined guide member protrudes further upward than the belt contact amount adjuster and has a guide surface inclined forwardly downward. The guide surface lifts up the rear end portion of the stack of cut sheets and shifts forward the lowermost cut sheet. The position of the adjuster in the front-rear direction and the position of the guide member in the front-rear direction can be adjusted individually.
