Typically the ratchet device has a component mounted to rotate in unison with the one-way rotational bearing or clutch. The improvement provides a rotational directional control providing 2 one-way rotational control devices in concert.

摘要： A thin, flat package of heat sealed thermoplastic material is filled with plastic string trimmer line by inserting a mandrel into an opening in the rear wall of the package to receive the free end of a length of string trimmer line inserted through a slot in the periphery of the package to engage the mandrel. The mandrel is rotated while the package is held in a relatively fixed position to wind line onto the mandrel and, therefore, into the package, until the package is filled. The mandrel then is withdrawn, leaving the free end of the line accessible through the opening in the rear wall, and the other end of the line extends from the slot in the periphery of the package.

摘要： The invention is an apparatus for winding line onto a spool having a hub with an inner surface defining a central cavity therein, wherein the apparatus comprises: a header having a longitudinal axis and opposing first and second sides; a pair of prongs transversely and outwardly extending from the first side of the header; a prong adjustment means for adjusting the longitudinal separation between the prongs, which as received in the cavity of the spool can be adjusted to be in snug contact with said inner surface to thereby securely hold the spool; a shaft affixed to the header so as to transversely and outwardly extend from the second side thereof; and a rotation means for rotating the shaft to thereby also rotate the header and prongs, such that the spool as securely held by the prongs is rotatable by rotation of the shaft so as to permit winding of line upon the spool.

摘要： An improved package and method for manufacturing extruded monofilament string trimmer line incorporates preconditioning of the line to provide a high moisture content. Straight line segments are produced by feeding the extruded line through a straight guide after surface cooling or quenching and cutting the line segments as the line exits the guide. The line then is packaged in a sealed package with a removable cap to permit withdrawal of line from the package. A moisture-laden sponge may be placed within the bottom of the package to maintain a high humidity within the package. Copper chloride or cobalt chloride salts also may be coated on the line, or added to the plastic forming the line to provide a color indication of the relative moisture content of the line.
