摘要: Modular web processing units may be physically and electrically assembled into clusters to perform various web processes (e.g. the production of paper forms such as invoices, checks, labels, etc.). Each module has a main process driver which is not directly coupled to a web drive mechanism. Rather, the web driver is program controlled so as to effect the desired web process at controlled displacement intervals along the web. Accordingly, a plurality of successive but different form lengths or depths can be accommodated as the web surface is sequentially processed. A system of such modules can be physically wheeled into position as individual units and electrically connected together by suitable umbilical cords to rapidly configure a desired overall web finishing process. Nevertheless, the entire ensemble of modules performs as though it is a unitary special purpose web processing machine with its various process stations interconnected and synchronized by an electronic "drive shaft". One of the modular units automatically becomes the master source of process drive pulses for the others and the entire ensemble may be controlled from the control panel of any one of the modules. Examples of modules for unwinding web from a roll, for folding processed web, for printing and for perforation or cut-off are described.

摘要: Contamination of a washing liquid in a washing tank is suppressed at a downstream side of a path for transferring a film. A washing device includes a roller for transferring a heat-resistant separator from a washing tank to another washing tank. Two rollers contact one surface of the heat-resistant separator, and a remaining roller, between the two rollers, contacts the other surface of the heat-resistant separator. A washing liquid removed from the heat-resistant separator by the remaining roller returns to the washing tank.

摘要: The system for processing a virgin web to yield printed documents such as business forms includes a printing device adapted for printing non-repetitive (variable) and repetitive (constant) information and data as determined by a computer, and processing devices disposed--in relation to the transporting direction of the web--in front of and past the printing device and serving for shaping the web and possibly for printing onto the web in color. The processing devices are preferably built in the form of slide-in units adapted to be loosenably mounted into shelves of the system and to be driven for instance through separable connecting means by drive devices fixedly mounted on the frame. The system makes it possible to process the web within a small space and with small energy requirements, and to assembly and disassemble the processing devices with rapidity.

摘要: A packaging machine includes a conveying device for advancing a packaging material web at least to a tube forming station at which the web is formed into a tube and for advancing the tube to a tube forming and sealing device to form and longitudinally seal the tube, a tensioning device to control tension of the web and/or of the tube and a control unit to control operation of the packaging machine. The tensioning device has at least one tensioning assembly having at least first and second drive rollers, a first drive motor connected to the first drive roller to rotate the first drive roller and a second drive motor connected to the second drive roller to rotate the second drive roller. The control unit controls the first and second drive motors such that a free loop of the web expands and/or advances between the first and second drive rollers.

摘要: A hot fuse printer system includes a feeder module adapted to spool a continuous substrate and cut the substrate to a desired length; a sheeting module adapted to feed the cut substrate to a printer module, which includes a hot fuser unit adapted to print on the cut substrate. The feeder module may include at least one sensor configured to determine a length of the substrate. The feeder module, the sheeting module and the printer module are each operatively connected to a controller which is configured to cause the feeder module to cut the substrate in a desired location, the sheeting module to feed the cut substrate to the printer module, and the printer module to print onto the cut substrate in a desired manner.
