    Abstract: Provided are a raw material discharge device, a method of processing an electronic and electrical device component scrap, and a raw material discharging method of an electronic and electrical device component scrap, which are capable of efficiently discharging the raw material having various shapes, specific gravities and shapes in each fixed amount. A raw material discharge device including: a storage unit 1 which stores a raw material and comprising a discharge port 11 at one end; a discharge unit 2 arranged at a bottom surface 15 of the storage unit 1, which conveys the raw material toward the discharge port 11 and discharges the raw material to an outside of the storage unit 1; an adjustment unit 3 including a plurality of struts 31 extending from above to below the discharge unit 2 and adjusting an amount of the raw material to be discharged by holding a part of the raw material with the struts 31; wherein a ratio (d1/d2) of a distance (d1) between a strut 31 closest to a side surface 13, 14 of the storage unit 1 and the side surface 13, 14 of the storage unit 1 to a narrowest distance (d2) between the struts 31 in a center portion of the storage unit 1, and a ratio (H1/H2) of a height of the strut 31 closest to the side surface 13, 14 of the storage unit 1 from a floor to a minimum height (H2) of a strut 31 which is other than the strut 31 closest to the side surface of the storage unit 1 from the floor are respectively adjustable so as to prevent clogging of the raw material being discharged to the outside of the storage unit 1.

    Abstract: A control device for activating a transverse belt (8) of a conveying carriage (6) of a transverse-belt sorter (2), wherein a transverse-belt conveyor (4) for conveying an article in a transverse conveying direction, which is oriented substantially transversely to the conveying direction of the transverse-belt sorter (2), is formed on the conveying carriage (6), and wherein the transverse belt (8) can be driven mechanically, wherein the control device is configured so that, when the article is introduced laterally onto the transverse belt (8), it activates the transverse belt (8) such that the article is transported to a conveying position on the transverse belt (8) or, when the article is discharged laterally, it activates the transverse belt (8) such that the article is transported in the downward direction from a conveying position on the transverse belt (8); and wherein, when the article is introduced and/or discharged laterally, the control device activates the transverse belt (8) at least in dependence on a mass of the article.

    Abstract: An article transport facility includes a transport conveyor (34) and a weighing device (24), which includes a support portion (28) for supporting a container (C1) and a measuring portion (30) configured to measure a weight of the container (C1) supported by the support portion (28). The article transport facility is configured to perform a state change between a withdrawn state in which the support portion (28) is withdrawn downward relative to a transport surface (34A) and a protruding state in which the support portion (28) protrudes upward relative to the transport surface (34A) by moving the support portion (28) and the transport conveyor (34) relative to each other in a vertical direction (Z). A support surface (28A) of the support portion (28) is inclined such that one corner portion (8A) of multiple corner portions (8) located at corners of the container (C1) is lower than the other corner portions (8).

    Abstract: A system for transferring parcels made in accordance with the present invention includes: a first conveyor for conveying a bulk flow of parcels; a second conveyor positioned adjacent to the first conveyor; a robot positioned adjacent to the first conveyor and the second conveyor; and a rejection member. The robot engages and transfers select parcels in the bulk flow of parcels on the first conveyor to the second conveyor. The rejection member is positioned as to receive parcels offloaded from the first conveyor and/or the second conveyor and directs such parcels out of the system. Parcels within the bulk flow of parcels with characteristics which make it difficult for one or more of the components of the system or downstream systems to handle or process can be directed to the rejection member by operation of the first conveyor and/or the second conveyor to reduce system processing delays and stoppages.
