Abstract: A modular shipping apparatus comprising: at least one base for a cargo container; each base having at least two spaces and each of spaces is formed by a left rectangular opening and a right rectangular opening, at least one wheel assembly is attached in one of the spaces, the base has a center portion that forms a first channel between the center portion and one of the openings and forms a second channel between the center portion and another one of the openings, a shipping container with a bottom interior and having at least two tracks attached to the bottom interior, wherein at least a portion of each of the at least one wheel assemblies attached in one of the at least two spaces slides along one of the at least two tracks.

Abstract: A dual tank structure includes first and second tanks with a common secondary containment structure which are all integrally supported on a common base frame. The common base frame includes longitudinal skids so as to be suitable for transport using a conventional winch truck. A passageway with an integral valve therein permits selective communication between the tanks. The common containment structure has a containment volume which is greater than a storage volume of a largest one of the first tank and the second tank and which is less than a combined storage volume of both the first tank and the second tank.

Abstract: A cargo rack for transferring loads between a marine vessel and an offshore marine platform (for example, oil and gas well drilling or production platform) provides a frame having a front, a rear, and upper and lower end portions. The lower end of the frame has a perimeter beam base, a raised floor and a pair of open-ended parallel fork tine tubes or sockets that communicate with the perimeter beam at the front and rear of the frame, preferably being structurally connected (e.g., welded) thereto. Openings in the perimeter beam base align with the forklift tine tubes or sockets. The frame includes a plurality of fixed side walls extending upwardly from the perimeter beam that include at least left and right side walls. A plurality of gates are movably mounted on the frame including a gate at least at the front and at least at the rear of the frame, each gate being movable between open and closed positions, the gates enabling a forklift to place loads on the floor by accessing either the front of the frame or the rear of the frame. Each gate can be pivotally attached to a fixed side wall. The frame has vertically extending positioning beams or lugs that segment the raised floor into a plurality of load-holding positions. Each load holding position has a plurality of positioning beams or lugs that laterally hold a load module (e.g., palletized load) in position once a load is placed on the raised floor.

Abstract: A system including devices and methods for transporting or storing materials uses slidable containers, or modules. The modules have recessed wheels that facilitate sliding movement when placed on tracks. The use of tracks allows for precise placement of the modules in close proximity to each other and the walls of a vessel or facility they are placed in. The modules may be disassembled for easy, compact storage or transport. The modules may be used with a lift platform adapted to accommodate the modules and tracks or rails for engaging the recessed wheels. By using closely aligned tracks, the transport module may be used to maximize efficient use of space when transporting cargo.

Abstract: Described herein is a skid for transporting and storing pallets. The pallets may be loaded with any cargo but in one example are loaded with drilling mud or its components. The skid comprises a base, and a container on the base defining a plurality of compartments each sized to hold a loaded pallet. The container comprises a floor, interior side walls, and exterior side walls, which together define the compartments. The exterior side walls are situated at the periphery of the skid, and each of the exterior side walls is removable to permit a compartment to be accessed, and a pallet to be easily loaded or unloaded from the periphery of the skid. Pallets may be individually accessed from the outside of the skid, and may be removed from the skid by workers using available equipment, with no need to climb, mount, or enter the skid.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a storage tank which includes a sloped internal plate(s) fabricated within a bottom portion of the tank to form an internal sloping floor. The storage tank may further include at least one optional sump and/or optional support saddle extending out from the tank body. The tank may include internal lining that covers at least a portion of the interior of the tank. A draw-off pipe may be included for removing water, sludge, or other undesirable elements collected at the base of the internal sloping floor.
