摘要： A plastic material wave bag assembly having a sheet-like first side panel and a sheet-like second side panel oriented in opposed congruent relationship to one another when in a folded condition. The wave bag assembly includes a single use closure adhesive strip disposed and oriented primarily laterally across an interior wall of the upper panel section of the first side panel at a location below the handle apertures. The closure adhesive strip is configured to selectively close and maintain the upper panel sections in a closed condition while the remaining portions of the first and second side panels are maintained in the receiving condition. The closure adhesive strip includes opposed closure adhesive strip distal ends formed and dimensioned to terminate proximate to a respective corner intersection such that at least one vent passage is formed between a corresponding closure adhesive strip distal end, in the closed condition, and the corresponding upper side edge end portion of the side edge of the first and second side panels. The vent passage is of a lateral dimension sufficiently large to enable the venting of steam while being sufficiently small to prevent the passage of a human hand therethrough.

The top layer is adhered to the bottom layer via an adhesive layer therebetween. The bottom layer includes a concave perforation, the concave perforation having a line defined by endpoints of the concave perforation. The label further includes a layer of deadener between the label layers, the deadener being on the convex side of the perforation, and terminating at the line, the line extending to opposing edges of the label, where the deadener is at least some distance away from the perforation such that the deadener and the perforation do not abut. The label may further have a layer of adhesive on the bottom layer for adhering the label to a surface. The disclosure further includes a reclosure system that includes the resealable label and an inner label for mounting on a surface.

摘要： A gastight valve strip for a reclosable container includes first and second film layers adapted to be disposed over an aperture through a sidewall of a reclosable container. The second film layer opposes the first and includes an attachment surface adapted to be sealed to the sidewall of the container. The attachment surface has a patterned portion that defines a region of flow channels. Opposing surfaces of the first and second film layers form a substantially gastight seal therebetween upon contact of the first and second film layers to each other. A first film layer aperture extends through the first film layer, and is in fluid communication with an exterior side of the valve strip. A second film layer aperture extends through the second film layer, is offset and spaced apart from the first film layer aperture, and is in fluid communication with the container aperture through the patterned portion.

摘要： To aid in the spontaneous opening of closed garbage bags deposited in landfills, a biodegradable bag tie made from plant sources is described. The preparation of the tie material includes hydrolysis with an acidic, enzymatic, or basic aqueous solution, combined with microwave exposure, to make the strip amenable to rapid digestion by microorganisms indigenous to landfill environments. The strips may then be tied by knotting around the open end of the polyethylene garbage bag or by joining the two ends of the strip with double-sided adhesive tape. In this way, the closed tie is digested soon after deposition of the bag in a landfill, thereby also exposing its contents to local aerobic bacteria and fungi.
