    摘要: A resealable airtight storage jar assembly that includes a portable jar body defining ajar opening, an inner cap member with an internal sidewall extending from an upper wall and an inner cap sidewall extending from the upper wall and defining a threaded configuration corresponding to a threaded configuration defined on a sidewall of the portable jar body, wherein the inner cap member is operably configured to have a hermetically sealed position covering the jar opening. The jar assembly also includes an outer cap member with a lip radially extending from a sidewall thereon and to restrict longitudinal movement of the inner cap member thereover. The jar assembly also includes an elastomeric gasket coupled to the inner cap member and operably configured to seat over and seal the jar body defining the jar opening.

The fermentation lid assembly can include a lid body having a chamber that is sized and shaped to receive a barrier fluid, the lid body having an aperture that fluidly couples the lid body to the fermentation vessel, a lid cap positioned to overlie the aperture, and a lid that covers the chamber. The lid can have a plurality of vent holes that are sized and shaped to provide a fluid flow path from the fermentation vessel to an exterior of the fermentation device via the aperture of the lid body. Related methods are also provided.

    摘要: An extrusion blow molded plastic container includes a main body portion, a finish portion, and a continuous ledge. The finish portion defines an opening, and includes an upper surface and an outer surface that defines a substantially rectangular shape with rounded corners when viewed in transverse cross-section. The shape of the finish portion when viewed in transverse cross-section is smaller than the shape of the main body portion. The continuous ledge is defined between the outer surface of the main body portion and the outer surface of the finish portion. The ledge has a first width, adjacent to one of the rounded corners of the finish portion, that is greater than a second width that is not adjacent to one of the rounded corners of the finish portion.

    摘要: The present invention overcomes many of the shortcomings inherent in previous containers for packaging potato chips and/or crisps, corn based chips and/or crisps, cookies and the like. The improved implosion-resistant container of the present invention utilizes flowing geometries mechanisms which allow a hermetically sealed container to smoothly change its geometric shape thereby adjusting its internal volume in response to changes in environmental conditions. These volumetric adjustments compensate for changes in environmental conditions thereby avoiding the random buckling and deformation inherent in current packaging techniques which detracts from the commercial presentation of the container. The improved container of the present invention may also include a variety of other stress dissipating mechanisms that counteract the forces causing thermo-plastic container deformation, implosion and loss of seal integrity. This collection of stress dissipating mechanisms, employed collectively or separately, allows a container for storing fragile food products to be fashioned as a relatively lightweight, thin-walled blow molded thermo-plastic container that is capable of adapting to changing environmental conditions while maintaining its visual aesthetic appearance.
