摘要: In an automated machine that forms a vertically positioned and horizontally traversing web of plastic film into bags and fills the bags with material, after the bags are filled, a pair of gripping fingers clampingly grip and pull the bag upper longitudinal edge portions into a sealing gap between a pair of heat seal bars whereat the bag walls are heat fused together and the bag is sealed closed. A pair of clamp bars below the heat seal bars clampingly engage the bag walls after they are pulled into the gap and prior to heat sealing. The filled bags are linked along their longitudinal edge portions with perforations therebetween. The bags are severed from one another at a perforation when the gripping fingers pull the bag walls into the gap. The gripping fingers are carried on and are moved longitudinally with a pair of belts located vertically above the gap.

摘要: Items may be packaged for shipping or storage using additive manufacturing techniques, also known as three dimensional (3-D) printing. Packages made by such processes may be referred to as 3-D printed packages and may include packing material printed at least partially around the item(s) and/or an outer cover printed about at least a portion of an exterior of the packing material and/or the item(s). A packaging system may include a 3-D printer and a computing device communicatively coupled to the 3-D printer. The computing device may obtain a packaging model describing a package for one or more items. A print module of the computing device may include instructions to print the package at least partially about the item(s) according to the packaging model.

摘要: A sealing device and a medicine packaging apparatus that includes the sealing device, wherein an engaging mechanism for coupling frames has good operability and the frames can firmly engage each other. The sealing device (10) can couple roller frames (20a, 20b) by an engaging mechanism (40) to integrate the roller frames. The engaging mechanism (40) has an engager (45) and a receptor (46) formed of a recess or the like. The engager includes a manipulation lever (50) and an engaging lever (51). The engager (45) is provided in the roller frame (20a), while the receptor (46) is provided in the roller frame (20b). When the manipulation lever (50) is pushed and pivoted toward the roller frame (20b), the engaging mechanism (40) can integrate the roller frames (20a, 20b). When the manipulation lever (50) is pulled and pivoted toward a front portion, the engaging mechanism can release the engagement caused by the engaging mechanism (40) to allow the roller frames (20a, 20b) to be separable from each other.

摘要: A three seal sachet and method of manufacturing the sachet. The sachet includes a film having first and second longitudinal sheet edges and opposed first and second sheet faces. The film is folded to form opposed first and second sachet faces where the film is sealed to itself along marginal portions of the first and second longitudinal sheet edges on the first sheet face thereby forming a tube with a longitudinal seal on the second sachet face. First and second transverse seals bond the film along the marginal portions of the first and second transverse edges of the sheet, thereby closing the tube at each end. The sachet also includes a dispensing device disposed on the first or second face. The disposed device includes a flange which is inserted into the first sachet face and secures the device to the sachet and a dispensing orifice enabling product to be dispensed from the sachet.

摘要: A product and method for producing a string of individual sealed, filled packages separated by perforations. A string of separate packages optionally may be enclosed in a cardboard or other container designed to sit in a pantry or other location for dispensing of individual units. Perforations in the packaging film between separate packages provide a tear point to aid in separating one package from the next. There are several advantages to this format including easy placement of the string of packages into a carton for shipping or dispensing, and the ability to hang a string of packages in locations without the need to attach the packages to a backing strip. The perforations between packages facilitate the packaging and transportation of the entire string or bandolier, and facilitate the removal and use of a separate package.

摘要: Packages used to deliver items or other payloads via a drone may be customized and 3D printed to house the payload. The package may be customized to minimize the size and/or weight needed to house the payload. The customized packages may include one or more attachment mechanisms adapted to engage with or otherwise be coupled to the drone for delivery. Multiple individual customized packages can be secured together into a composite package for delivery by drone. The customized package may be designed to be aerodynamic given the shape of the payload and the flight characteristics of the drone. The drone itself may be the package, with the payload housed within a portion of the drone. The package and/or a portion of the drone (e.g., fuselage, wing, body, frame, etc.) may be printed at least partially in, on, or around an item or package to be transported by the drone.
