    摘要: Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatus and methods including communication circuits for communicating between a plurality of compartments in a vehicle. An array of flexible cables provides signal-communication paths between the plurality of compartments in the vehicle, with each cable having a glass or silica core region for conveying optical signals, and communicating signals (electrical signals and optical signals) along at least one of the signal-communication paths and between the plurality of compartments in the vehicle. The apparatus and methods also include a plurality of circuits that communicate status-indication signals between locations along the array of flexible cables. The status-indication signals are communicated via the signal-communication paths in the flexible array of cables and are indicative of vehicle-travel modes for reporting a status of the vehicle in a mode relative to travel of the vehicle.

The removable protective cover member is mounted on a base and protects the light source and optics. If a repair to the light source, optics, and/or light source is needed, the removable protective cover member can be removed from the base, eliminating the need to remove the in-pavement light fixture from its mounting in the pavement.

    摘要: A portable luminaire includes an optical module, a power source and a housing. The optical module has at least one light emitting diode (LED) that emits light with a wide divergence, a non-imaging optical element and a transparent window. The non-imaging optical element (NIO) has a refractive member located around a LED optical axis and a total internal reflection member located around the refractive member. The refractive member and the total internal reflection member are integrated in a single transparent element having a mutual focal point. The NIO element collects a significant amount of light emitted by the LED with wide divergence located at the focal point to compress the collected light with high efficiency into a required pattern with a generally different angular distribution in a horizontal plane and a vertical plane, and to direct the compressed light outside of the luminaire.

Reflecting means (7) direct a light beam emitted by the light source (3) toward the optical prism (6a, 6b) while sensor means (21) detect the intensity of the light radiation emitted by the light source (3) or of a representative quantity of the light radiation. A supply and control central unit (CC) receives the signals (S1, S2), coming from the sensor means (21) and supplies the light source (3).

The lighting device comprises at least one lamp unit that emits light essentially in a light direction which forms an angle α with an axis at right angles to the substantially plane surface.     摘要: An integral single piece extruded LED light strip and an associated process for producing such an LED light strip. The light strip includes first and second bus elements spaced apart from one another by a predetermined distance. The light strip also includes at least one light emitting diode (LED) connected between the bus elements that is illuminated when the first bus element conducts electricity provided from a power source. An extruded plastic material completely encapsulates the first and second bus elements and the LED, thereby providing a barrier to protect the elements from damage and to make the light strip impervious to moisture. A process for manufacturing an integrally formed single piece light strip includes the steps of continuously feeding bus elements to an extruder; continuously feeding circuitry having at least one LED operatively mounted thereon to the extruder; and extruding a thermoplastic material at a temperature below that which would damage the circuitry or the LED to thereby encapsulate the bus elements, the circuitry and the LED and to operatively connect the circuitry to the bus elements.

The light source emits light with a limited angle omnidirectionally in a plane perpendicular to a light source optical axis. The reflective light transformer is located around the light source, and collects most of the light emitted by the light source and redirects and redistributes the collected light in a direction parallel to the light source optical axis. The light transformer includes a reflective surface with a precalculated arbitrary profile that transforms a light source spatial light distribution into a specific pattern with a generally different angular spread in a horizontal plane and a vertical plane.
