Abstract:
Examples are disclosed that relate to watercraft with retractable drive mechanisms. One example provides a watercraft including a hull having a receiving compartment, and also having a deck. The watercraft also includes a drive unit extending through the deck and the hull of the watercraft and being configured to receive rotational input. The drive unit includes a driveshaft and propeller moveable between an extended position in which the propeller is positioned underneath the hull and a retracted position in which the propeller is positioned at least partially within the receiving compartment.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a system (1) for binding a shoe (2) to a foot rest (3) of a towing boat, said shoe (2) having a sole (21) and said foot rest (3) being likeable to a plate having an underside (9) and a top surface (8). The main feature of a binding system according to the invention is that it comprises at least one mobile step (6) projecting from the top surface (8) and a rigid actuating lever (4) projecting from the underside (9), and in that said lever (4) is connected to said at least one stop (6) in such a way that moment of said lever (4) causes said at least one stop (6) to move between a deployed position in which it becomes lodged in a recess (22) in the sole (21), and a retracted position in which it leaves said recess (22) and allows the shoe (2) to be detached them the foot rest (3).
Abstract:
A device that captures and processes individual rower data and transmits the data to a display for use by the coxswain or the coach to enable the provision of immediate feedback to one or more rowers in order to improve the overall performance of the boat.
Abstract:
A device is provided for attaching a rowing shoe to a foot stretcher of a rowing boat. The device has a shoe segment having a first surface for attachment to the rowing shoe and a first locking means. The device also has a stretcher segment having a second surface for attachment to the foot stretcher and a second locking means for releasably engaging with the first locking means. A rowing shoe is also taught, having a shoe segment on a bottom of the rowing shoe for releasable engagement with a corresponding stretcher segment of a foot stretcher of a rowing boat.
Abstract:
A rowing boat footrest assembly includes a stationary support member and a footrest member. The stationary support member is configured and arranged for coupling to a boat structure with a pivot axis extending through a portion of the stationary support member. The footrest member has a footrest surface coupled to the stationary support member for pivotal movement about the pivot axis. The footrest member is configured and arranged to support a shoe such that with the shoe positioned on the footrest surface the pivot axis extends laterally through the shoe between a sole of the shoe and an upper surface of the shoe.
Abstract:
A rowing device with articulating oars FIG. 4 that are connected to outriggers FIG. 1 at the point of articulation. While the rower sits on a fixed seat 6, said outriggers 4 are foot operated 2 and function in the opposite direction as the feet through a system of cables 12 and sheaves 11.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a rowing seat for use in a rowboat. The seat includes a chest and abdomen support designed to provide support and leverage for rowers of rearward facing rowboats. The seat includes a clamp so that it may be removably secured to a rowboat bench. The seat further includes a hinge between the seat and the chest support so that the chest support may be collapsed to a horizontal position when not in use.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a rowing boat (1) provided with at least one bench seat (2) displaceable in lengthwise direction of the boat and a footrest (4) placed opposite the bench seat (2), which footrest (4) is pivotable about a lying shaft (5) arranged in transverse direction in the boat (1) and has clamping means (6) for fastening footwear (7) thereto. The pivot shaft (5) can be arranged adjustably in the boat (1). The clamping means (6) can take the form of a toe-clip or of a rotating dish binding.
