    摘要: A scrubber-heating apparatus for a diving rebreather includes an oxygen supplying element. The oxygen supplying element has a gas mixing portion connected thereto. The gas mixing portion has a breath connecting element connected thereto. The breath connecting element has a scrubber connected thereto. The scrubber is provided with an absorbent heating element and a temperature detecting component. The temperature detecting component has a state display connected thereto. The absorbent heating element and the state display are electrically connected to a power supplying portion. Thereby, the scrubber can recycle gas exhaled by a user to prolong the duration of use of the rebreather. Additionally, the absorbent heating element increases the temperature in the scrubber, thereby enhancing the adsorption efficiency and prolonging the overall duration of use.

    摘要: A valve (50), which is particularly suitable for SCUBA apparatus, comprises a main body (52) with a sliding plug (58) in a bore (54) of the main body (52). The valve (50) has first (60) and second ports (62) in fluid communication with the bore (54). The plug (58) has first (64), second (66) and third plug portions (68). A set of seals (76, 78, 82) between the plug (58) and bore (54) separate the plug portions (76, 78, 82) from one another. The third plug portion (68), which is interposed between, and which has a smaller cross-sectional area than, the first (64) or second (66) plug portions, forms a fluid passageway (70) between the plug (58) and the bore (54) of the main body (52). The valve (50) comprises a rack (88) and pinion (90) for axially displacing the plug (58) by rotation of the pinion (90), such that the fluid passageway (70) can be moved so as to align with any one or more ports (60, 62). Further ports (94) and plug positions are also possible, and a valve position indicator (124) may be provided.

    摘要: A mounting system allows an action camera system or other device to be removably attached to a SCUBA demand regulator. A flexible ring encircles an outer surface of the regulator and is cinched thereabout, the shape of the ring corresponding to the shape of the outer surface of the regulator. A riser, which may be one or more prongs, rises upwardly from the ring and has a mount plate on a distal end thereof. The mount plate adhesively receives a flat adhesive plate of a desired device such as the action camera system.

At least one remote device comprises first processing unit, at least one transmitter functionally connected to the first processing unit and adapted to transmit signals over a medium, and at least one receiver functionally connected to the first processing unit and adapted to receive signals over said medium. At least two wearable devices, each comprising a second processing unit and wireless communication means capable of receiving and sending data signals over said medium, are also provided. The remote device is adapted to determine the distance to at least two wearable devices, to determine the direction to said at least two wearable devices based on at least two different bearings taken from said at least one remote device to each wearable device, to calculate the position of said at least two wearable devices relative to the remote device, and to communicate the position of at least one first wearable device to a second wearable device. The wearable devices are adapted to process the position of a first wearable device in their processing unit and to present to the user of a second wearable device an indication of direction and distance to said first wearable device.

    摘要: A compact, on-airway, respiratory gas analyzer for performing pulmonary function tests incorporates an IR spectroscopy light guide having a curved, rather than linear, sample chamber that lies transverse to a direction of respiratory gas flow. Cooperating with the sample chamber is an impact plate that functions to steer respiratory and test gases impinging on the impact plate into the curved sample chamber. A source of IR energy is at one end of the sample chamber and an electro-optical sensor responsive to IR energy is disposed at an opposite end of the chamber. The respiratory gas analyzer also includes gas flow paths and valving for carrying out lung capacity and lung diffusion tests.

An exemplary mouth piece supply valve control system may include a sensor operative to produce a sensor signal upon sensing a condition, a computer connected to the sensor that may produce a computer signal associated with sensor signal, a logic device operatively connected to the computer for receiving the computer signal, and an automatic actuator operatively connected to the logic device. The automatic actuator may be operatively coupled to a mouth piece supply valve that may be selectable between a first mode and a second mode and the automatic actuator may shift the mouth piece supply valve from the second mode to the first mode upon receipt of a logic device signal from the logic device.

The enlarged head and an end section of predetermined length of the shaft, connected to the enlarged head, are seamlessly coated with at least one layer of elastomeric material. Such coating of elastomeric material is limited to an end portion of the shaft connected to the enlarged head and the coated shaft portion is entirely contained in the high-pressure chamber in any operating position of the shut-off member.
