    摘要： An apparatus and system for facilitating the controlled ascent and descent of stepped or irregular inclines, such as a set or flight of stairs. In an embodiment, the invention comprises an apparatus and system that allows an operator to safely transport a heavy load up or down a flight of stairs. The invention may be utilized with, attached to or incorporated within a transporting carrier, such as a hand truck or hand cart, for transporting heavy cargo up or down stepped or irregular inclines. In an embodiment, the invention allows a wheel to rotate freely in one direction while regulating the rotation of said wheel in the opposite direction such that a braking force in said opposite direction is proportional to the apparent weight and angle of inclination of said carrier. In operation, a gravitationally induced increase in an apparent weight activates the invention's braking system, thereby providing a braking force to the carrier wheel.

    摘要： The invention provides a theft-inhibiting carrier which includes a body 12 having a chassis 16 on which three wheels 18 20 and 22 are mounted. The carrier 10 includes theft deterrent means 12. The theft deterrent means is configured, when activated, to dismount the wheels 20, 22 from their respective axles 44 but to retain them connected to the chassis 16 by an elongate flexible tether to impede the movement of the carrier. Two containers 60, 62 are provided and contain chemicals which are fed via pistons 68 to a mixing device 76 and into a valuables receiving chamber in which they foam and set thereby encasing valuables contained therein. A pair of arms 88 are pivotally displaced from a retracted position to an extended position in which they protrude from the containers 60, 62. Sharpened teeth 94 are provided on the arms to further inhibit displacement of the carrier.

    摘要： A modular wheelchair comprises a number of different modules that include a chassis module with frame members substantially centered along a center plane through the chassis, so that the chassis is able to lay flat when the modules are dissembled. The chassis is connected to a drive module by a single plug/receiver mechanical coupling that may include opposite end geometries. When the plug is in a seated position within the receiver, first end geometries of the two components mate mechanically to resist radial movement, while the second end geometries mate mechanically to resist both radial movement and rotation about an axis of the coupling. Additionally, axial movement in one direction is resisted, with the coupling oriented to apply gravitational force to resist axial movement in the opposite direction. The same arrangement may be used for a seat module.

    摘要： A cart apparatus to facilitate the play of disc golf may include but not be limited to a chassis, at least three wheels rotatably coupled to the chassis, a handle member mounted to the chassis, a floor platform mounted on the chassis and at least one seat member retractably mounted on the floor platform such that the seat member descends through the floor platform with the application of a sufficient weight and the seat member ascends through the floor platform after the removal of the weight. The seat member may consist of a seat mounted on a support. When someone sits on the seat the seat support descends through a hole in floor platform until it hits the ground. The ground then supports the weight of the sitter. When the sitter stands up and gets off the seat, the member ascends through the floor platform back to its starting position, or close thereto. Folding or collapsible embodiments of the cart apparatus allow it to be stored or transported more easily. Alternative embodiments provide baskets, consoles and accessories to enhance the ease, convenience and enjoyment of disc golf.
