Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a mobile cart. In a specific embodiment, the subject cart can be utilized as a cart for transporting beach supplies including toys, games, sporting goods, umbrellas, blankets, towels and food and beverages from a transport vehicle or building onto a beach. The subject cart can also provide storage areas for carrying coolers for foods, beverages, and separate compartment for other utensils such as forks, spoons and the like. Advantageously, the subject invention can be folded into a small suitcase like container and then opened to provide a cart for holding and transporting items as set forth herein. The cart according to the present invention may also include a self-propulsion system including a motor or motors for driving a tread, track or wheels along with a low friction skid surface or skis for directing the cart to quickly and easily move the cart, containing the beach supplies to a desired location across the sand. There may also be included a power source, for example batteries or solar panels, may be utilized to supply the power needed for self-propulsion and for powering or charging portable electronic devices, if desired. Accordingly there is provided a foldable motorized cart, comprising a front portion, a middle portion having a front end and a rear end and a rear potion, wherein the middle portion, is hingedly attached to the front portion at the front end and hingedly attached to the rear portion at the rear end, wherein each of the front portion, and the middle portion have a bottom floor and at least two side walls and an open top and wherein the rear portion has a bottom floor, four side walls and a top surface, and is foldable within the sidewalls of the middle portion and the front portion is foldable over the middle portion, a compartment within the rear portion having at least one storage space and a systems housing space, a motor drive system, a drive controller and a battery, wherein the battery and drive controller are electrically connected to the motor drive system and the motor drive system is mechanically linked to a drive track for propelling the motorized cart.
Abstract:
A two-wheeled cart is especially adapted for use as a game cart and may be easily towed by a conventional mountain bike. The cart has two interchangeable wheel positions. In the first wheel position the wheels are attached to the frame at opposite lateral sides of the cart and in this position the center of mass of a load carried on the bed of the cart is relatively low. In the second wheel position the wheels are aligned one in front of the other along the direction of travel as the cart is moved; in this position, the bed of the cart is raised to a relatively higher position than the position of the bed when the wheels are in the first wheel position so the center of mass of a load carried on the bed is relatively higher than when the wheels are in the first wheel position.
Abstract:
A multipurpose loading and unloading and/or material handling and moving apparatus including a closed chain continuous roller grid disposed on and around a continuous elongate table, the roller grid comprising a plurality of parallel axles pivotally coupled at their ends by parallel first and second sets of independent mechanical links.
Abstract:
A slab handling device for facilitating movement of slabs around a facility is presented. The slab handling device includes a base frame disposed horizontally in parallel to a floor surface, wherein a first end of the base frame comprises a projection extending from the base frame. The base frame hosts a second frame disposed vertically on the base frame to form a viewing side and a stacking side. Pluralities of side wheels are coupled to the base frame, wherein the diameter of the plurality of track wheels is greater than the diameter of the plurality of side wheels. A first set of end stoppers are disposed on the base frame and configured to hold a slab in position on the viewing side and a second set of end stoppers are disposed on the base frame and configured to hold multiple slabs in place on the stacking side.
Abstract:
The combination scooter and messenger bag is an article-carrying device that can be converted into a wheeled land vehicle. When used as an article carrying device, the invention resembles a conventional messenger bag with a single strap positioned to be placed over one of the user's shoulders and across the chest. This use is known as “carrying mode.” When used as a wheeled land vehicle, the invention resembles a kick scooter. This use is known as “riding mode.” The invention employs a mechanism that quickly and easily converts the combination scooter and messenger bag from “carrying mode” to “riding mode” and vice versa. The mechanism functions when a user raises and lowers a handlebar. Raising the handlebar shifts the messenger bag-style carrier from a position on top of the footboard to a position to the side of the footboard. Lowering the handlebar shifts the messenger bag-style carrier from a position on the side of the footboard to a position on top of the footboard. In this way, the scooter footboard is largely hidden from view in “carrying mode” and exposed for a user to stand upon in “riding mode.”
Abstract:
A hand truck comprising a frame including a first frame portion and a second frame portion, with the first frame portion being substantially perpendicular to the second frame portion. The hand truck further includes at least two first wheels connected to a lower section of the frame, with the at least two first wheels having parallel first axes of rotation. The hand truck also includes at least two second wheels connected to the lower section of the frame, with the at least two second wheels having parallel second axes of rotation. The first axes of rotation are substantially perpendicular to the second axes of rotation, whereby the item placed on the first frame portion can be moved in a first direction along a first line parallel to the second axes of rotation and a second direction along a second line parallel to the first axes of rotation.
Abstract:
A foldable transport device includes a center frame, side frames each pivotably connected to the center frame at opposite sides thereof for angular movement to a folded position where the side frames folded over the center frame and to an unfolded position; and cross members releasably secured to and extending between the side frames when the frames are unfolded. A cover, supported on the frames, may be used to provide a sheltered a space within the unfolded frame. The side frames function as runners in the unfolded position and have wheels for use in the folded position.

Abstract:
An improved, attendant propelled cart for the transport of a workload over rugged terrain. The cart has a plurality of ground engaging wheels (52), with a forward ground engaging wheel (18) and a rear ground engaging wheel (64). The ground engaging wheels of the cart are positioned in an approximate in-line wheel arrangement in relation to the normal direction of forward travel in order to provide stability and support the cart, and its workload, fore and aft along the longitudinal plane of the vehicle. In typical operation, the attendant simply walks beside the rugged terrain cart, while grasping a hand grip set (30) which is mounted on a handle means (36), pushing it along while the cart serves to support the entire weight of the workload. The attendant may easily, efficiently and precisely propel, steer, and maneuver the cart by virtue of said handle means (36), which are interconnected to a rigid forward wheel mounting assembly (72), which mounts said forward ground engaging wheel (18), and interconnects to a rigid frame (74) by a pivot means (50).The cart has a low center of gravity and enhanced stability by virtue of the large load carrying surface area of the rigid frame (74). An upper load attachment rail (93) and a lower load attachment rail (44) facilitates the attachment and positioning of the workloads, typically self contained carriers, a backpack (12), in a manner which is consistent with this goal. Workloads may also be carried within the rigid frame (74) in a waterproof storage means (98) with access provided by a waterproof access hatch (97).The rugged terrain cart further has both a brake means (16) and a suspension means (80) which serve to increase the cart's efficiency, safety and comfort in operation.
