Abstract: The combination scooter and messenger bag is an article-carrying device that can be converted into a wheeled land vehicle. When used as an article carrying device, the invention resembles a conventional messenger bag with a single strap positioned to be placed over one of the user's shoulders and across the chest. This use is known as “carrying mode.” When used as a wheeled land vehicle, the invention resembles a kick scooter. This use is known as “riding mode.” The invention employs a mechanism that quickly and easily converts the combination scooter and messenger bag from “carrying mode” to “riding mode” and vice versa. The mechanism functions when a user raises and lowers a handlebar. Raising the handlebar shifts the messenger bag-style carrier from a position on top of the footboard to a position to the side of the footboard. Lowering the handlebar shifts the messenger bag-style carrier from a position on the side of the footboard to a position on top of the footboard. In this way, the scooter footboard is largely hidden from view in “carrying mode” and exposed for a user to stand upon in “riding mode.”

Abstract: The automatic scooter unlocking mechanism is an improvement to existing folding kick scooter designs whereby vertical movement of a telescoping handlebar automatically causes rotation, and a corresponding unlocking, of a scooter footboard latch. The inventive mechanism places an extension on to the rotating handle of the footboard latch and places the distal end of the extension in such a location so as to contact a protuberance located on the sliding portion of the telescoping handlebar. During contact, the extension is deflected and the handle of the footboard latch rotates and unlocks, allowing for free rotation of the scooter footboard between folded and unfolded states. The inventive mechanism can be integral to a kick scooter design or can take the form of a system that can be installed on to a pre-existing kick scooter in an aftermarket fashion.

Abstract: Various devices for providing foot controlled computing device inputs are discussed herein. Some embodiments may include a rolling foot controller including a housing, one or more motion sensors disposed within the housing, and processing circuitry. The housing may include an upper portion configured to interface with one or more feet, and a lower portion configured to facilitate motion of the rolling foot controller when disposed on a ground surface. The processing circuitry may be configured to receive the motion data generated by the one or more motion sensors, and provide the motion data to a computing device, especially with regards to rotation in the pitch, yaw, and roll directions. Abstract: The Interchangable Scooter and Article Carrier System is a customizable system wherein a kick scooter can be releasably attached to an article carrier, forming a single reconfigurable device that can be used as either a kick scooter or an article carrier. The user can ride the device as a scooter with simultaneous support of the article carrier, or the user can carry the device as an article carrier with simultaneous storage of the scooter. The system utilizes a releasable connection between a rigid frame, attached to a walled container, and a scooter bracket, attached to a portion of the scooter. The scooter bracket is of a multi-part construction so as to be installed on pre-existing commercially available scooters. A deflective interaction between the rigid frame and clamps of the scooter steering assembly creates a selective lock which can maintain the steering position of a front wheel or wheels.
