    摘要: A brake pressure reducing valve assembly (1) includes first (2) and second (3) normally open valve sets each for controlling communication between respective associated inlet (4A,15) and outlet (4,16) chambers. The first valve set (2) is controlled by a brake pressure responsive piston (6) and a deceleration responsive member (7). The second valve set (3) is controlled by a pressure responsive piston (14). The respective pressure responsive pistons (6,14) are biased apart by a common compression spring (9). In use, the force applied to the piston (14) of the second valve set (3) by the spring (9) is determined by the position of the piston (6) of the first valve set (2) relative to the valve body. Accordingly the pressures at the outlet chambers (4,16) are maintained equal. The valve provides deceleration responsive brake pressure reduction to the rear brakes of a dual braking system without the need for two separate deceleration responsive members.

    摘要: A proportioning valve assembly (10, 210) in a housing (12, 212) is pressure responsive to control the flow of fluid to a wheel brake cylinder. The proportioning valve (20, 220) is connected to a fluid channel (31, 231) opening into a reservoir (13, 213), a second valve (34, 234) being disposed in the channel (31, 231) and being engaged by an inertia sensitive ball (40, 240) located either on a ramp (17) or within a recess (235) of the second valve (234). The ball (40) is responsive to deceleration of the vehicle and moves up the ramp (17), or the ball (240) moves multi-directionally from the recess (235) to be both longitudinal and lateral deceleration responsive. Movement of the ball (40, 240) permits the second valve (34, 234) to close and prevent fluid communication between the fluid reservoir (13, 213) and the proportioning valve (20, 220) in order to vary the outlet pressure of the proportioning valve (20, 220) in response to deceleration or cornering of the vehicle. The proportioning valve (20, 220) includes a second piston (80, 280) which has a plunger end (82, 282) that extends within the channel (31, 231) and a bore (303) of a sleeve (301). The sleeve (301) has an orifice (307) to restrict fluid pressure flow from the bore (303) around the plunger end (282) and through the orifice (107, 307) to the channel (31, 231). The sleeve (301), orifice (307), and plunger end (82, 282) provide damping of second piston when sudden high pressure applications occur, and thereby eliminate the occurrence of wheel lock-up.

    摘要: In a brake pressure control device having an inlet port for connection to a master cylinder and an outlet port for connection to a wheel brake cylinder, a differential piston cooperates with a first annular valve seat arranged in a first passage between the inlet and outlet ports, and an inertia-controlled valve element contained within a valve chamber formed in a second passage between the inlet and outlet ports to cooperate with a second annular valve seat fixed to one end portion of the piston. The one end portion of the piston is formed therein with a passage arranged to permit fluid flow passing through the second valve seat between the valve chamber and the outlet port. In such an arrangement, the valve element rests in place to be spaced from the second valve seat when the deceleration is below a predetermined value, the valve element being engaged with the second valve seat when subjected to the deceleration in excess of the predetermined value, and the piston is displaced against a spring load acting thereto to increase the space between the second valve seat and the valve element before the deceleration reaches the predetermined value under a heavy loaded condition of the vehicle.

    摘要: A deceleration sensing valve is provided which includes a valve body adapted to move under its own inertia as the deceleration of a road vehicle exceeds a given value, and a valve seat on which the valve body seats. The valve seat is located rearwardly of the valve body as viewed in the direction of movement thereof under its inertia, whereby there can occur no change in a control pressure derived by the deceleration sensing valve, in particular when the vehicle is empty, as it does occur in the prior art in response to any slight shift in the timing when the valve body becomes seated. Consequently, when used in combination with a proportion valve, the deceleration sensing valve of the invention assures a stable braking characteristic when the vehicle is empty as well as when the vehicle is occupied.

    摘要: A hydraulic pressure control valve assembly for a hydraulic brake system for a wheeled vehicle, comprises a proportioning valve having a plunger which is axially movable in a direction against a spring in response to application of a hydraulic pressure to a fluid inlet port to control the magnitude of hydraulic pressure in a fluid outlet port, and a deceleration sensing valve responsive to a deceleration of the vehicle the degree of which exceeds a predetermined value. The deceleration sensing valve has a piston which supports an end of the spring and is sealingly disposed in a chamber to define a sealed expandable chamber which is communicable with the fluid inlet port to enable the expandable chamber to contain a fluid the pressure of which is changeable in accordance with the degree of the deceleration of the vehicle. Biasing means is arranged in the valve assembly to bias the plunger to move axially in the other direction when the magnitude of hydraulic pressure in the sealed expandable chamber exceeds a predetermined value causing the piston to move toward the plunger beyond a predetermined distance against the spring.

The inertia-controlled valve unit comprises a solenoid winding attached to the valve housing, a plunger passing through the solenoid winding into the valve chamber and located behind the ball, the plunger being moved forwardly by energization of the solenoid winding to engage the ball against the valve seat, a normally open switch attached to a portion of a push-rod for connecting the solenoid winding to a source of electricity when closed, and a movable element slidable on the push-rod to be displaced toward the switch by inertia force acting thereon when the brake pedal is rapidly depressed, the movable element closing the switch when engaged with the switch.

    摘要: A brake fluid pressure control valve of a deceleration sensing type to be interposed in the hydraulic circuit, which connects, in the hydraulic braking system for a vehicle, the master cylinder and the rear wheel cylinders, with the object of effecting a proper distribution of the braking force, in response to the load degree or condition, to each of the front and rear wheels. The control valve includes a fluid passage, a first plunger for interrupting the fluid passage, and a device for controlling the operation of the first plunger, which device includes in turn a second and a third plungers to control the operation of the first plunger in accordance with the fluid pressure given from the fluid passage via a gravity valve. The third plunger constantly urges through a spring the first plunger, and the second plunger does not abut on the first plunger, while being in an empty or nonloaded state, even under a brake application, but abuts, while being in a heavy loaded state, on the first plunger so as to rigidly urges the same, in order to save the brake pedal stroke or brake oil quantity.
