    摘要: A hydraulic pressure assisting device includes a power piston slidably accommodated in a housing, an input member movable relative to the power piston in response to operation of a brake member, and an auxiliary hydraulic pressure source that increases brake fluid in a reservoir to a predetermined pressure and outputs power hydraulic pressure. A pressure modulator connected to the auxiliary hydraulic pressure source and the reservoir modulates power hydraulic pressure outputted from the auxiliary hydraulic pressure source to a predetermined pressure corresponding to movement of the input member relative a to the power piston and supplies modulated power hydraulic pressure to a power chamber in the power piston. A cylindrical elastic member has one end portion connected to the input member or power piston and another end portion connected to the housing, with a space being defined in the elastic member connected to the pressure modulator and the reservoir.

    摘要: A control valve for controlling the pressurisation of a power chamber of the booster comprises a spool working in a bore in a boost piston. The spool carries longitudinal spaced radial seals, a first one of the seals being disposed so as to prevent fluid from a radial high pressure supply port entering the power chamber through the spool at least when the booster is in an inoperative position. Movement of the spool in a forward operating direction, in response to an input force, causes the first one of the seals to uncover the port so that fluid can enter the power chamber through the spool. The other seal is adapted to uncover a radial return port connected to a reservoir when the input force is released.

    摘要: A hydraulic dual-circuit braking system comprising two main cylinders combined in twin-type construction which is actuated via a torque-equalized rocker operated by an actuating force proportional to brake pedal force, and wherein the main cylinders have position transmitters to detect piston positions, which are indirectly a measure of the brake pressure, and wherein an anti-blocking system enables the front wheel brakes to be blocked off from their main cylinders. The position signals are used by an electronic processing unit to determine the instantaneous front axle/rear axle braking force distribution, and compares this with a value which is ideal in accordance with the vehicle data, and when this comparison shows that the rear axle braking force component is too low, the front-wheel brakes are blocked off from their main cylinders until the rear axle braking force component is increased to such an extent that the ideal braking force distribution has been almost achieved. The front wheel blocking is then halted and both braking forces increase until the next under comparison situation is reached. The cycle of operation is then repeated.

    摘要: A brake unit for a road vehicle with a hydraulic dual-circuit brake system having two master cylinders, the brake booster and elements for antilock and/or propulsion or slip control in a common housing. A brake booster drive cylinder which can be subjected to the outlet pressure, proportional to the pedal travel, of a brake valve, is arranged between static master cylinders. Coupled to the piston of the drive cylinder is a pivotable rocker, the arms of which are each supported on one of the master cylinder pistons via tappet. Assigned to at least one of the master cylinders is a regulating cylinder having an opposed piston which can be supported on the piston of the master cylinder and which, when subjected on one side to the outlet pressure of the auxiliary pressure source of the brake booster, causes the piston of the master cylinder to be returnable towards its basic position counter to the actuating force exerted on it. Instead of a single acting counter cylinder, there can also be provided a double acting cylinder as regulating cylinder which can be used both for antilock control and for propulsion or slip control.

    摘要: An hydraulic booster has a housing provided with a bore, an inlet connected to a source of high pressure fluid, an outlet connected to a reservoir and a boost piston working in the bore. The boost piston is advanced in response to pressurization of a boost chamber by fluid from the source, under the control of a valve mechanism operated by an input member. The diameters of the bore and the boost piston are arranged to provide an annular chamber round the boost piston connected to the inlet, with the sealing diameter at the rearward end greater than that at the forward end of the chamber, where the boost piston is spaced from the bore. The forward end is sealed by a seal mounted in the bore so that it is radially deformable and able to tolerate the radial clearance between the piston and the bore. The seal is preferably a P.T.F.E. ring backed by an O-ring.
