    摘要: A telematics device located on-board a vehicle or other enclosure assists in detecting a glass break event for a window of the vehicle or enclosure based on acceleration measurements obtained from acceleration sensors of the telematics device. A power spectral density (PSD) for a plurality of packets of acceleration data within a higher frequency band and/or a lower frequency band are determined. A glass break event is detected upon determining that an average PSD for the higher frequency band exceeds an upper PSD threshold. Alternatively or additionally, a glass break event is detected upon determining that a second maximum PSD is greater than a first PSD threshold for the lower frequency band, and that a difference between the second maximum PSD and a minimum PSD is greater than a second PSD threshold for the lower frequency band.

    摘要: The portable security monitoring system may include a mechanism for automatically capturing real-time audio and video information of the detected dynamic triggering event in a first location. A plurality or portable real-time audio and video capturing devices may be included at the first location. The system may further include a mechanism for simultaneously playing back the real-time data streams. Such a mechanism preferably includes a portable controller with a hand held device. The hand held device may also include a partitioned display panel provided with a plurality of simultaneously displayed viewing screens. Additionally, a global positioning satellite network may be in communication with the real-time audio and video information capturing mechanism for determining unique location coordinates of the detected dynamic triggering event and further for transmitting the unique location coordinates to the simultaneous playback mechanism respectively.

    摘要: In a periphery monitoring system for monitoring movements of a mobile object around an installation location of a Doppler sensor, a signal output from the Doppler sensor is subjected to an FFT analysis, and a total sum of the frequency levels of all of the frequency bands obtained through the FFT analysis is calculated at predetermined time intervals. A reference level and abnormal level are set based on the calculated total sum. If the calculated total sum exceeds the abnormal level and falls to or below the abnormal level before a first set period passes since the exceeding of the abnormal level, the periphery status is determined to be abnormal. If the total sum exceeds the abnormal level but does not fall to or below the abnormal level even after the first set period passes since the exceeding of the abnormal level, the periphery status is determined to be normal, and the reference level is updated to a new reference level set based on total sums calculated during the first set period.

    摘要: An intrusion detector having a transmitter, receiver, detector, signal processor, and control unit is disclosed. The transmitter is able to transmit waves into a defined space and has a variable output power. The receiver is able to receive those waves after reflection. The detector is connected to the receiver and able to detect a signal based on a change in the waves after reflection, where the detected signal is representative of any motion in the defined space. The signal processor is able to process the detected signal in order to determine if an intrusion has occurred. The control unit is able to determine any change in the detected signal, and to increase the output power of the transmitter in response to such change. A method for performing such intrusion detection is also disclosed.

    摘要: A vehicle alarm comprises of a control unit (2) coupled to a message center (22) and an ultrasonic movement sensor (20). The ultrasonic movement sensor (20) is automatically activated when the vehicle ignition is switched off. If movement is not detected in the time period between switching the ignition off and the driver's door being closed, then the ultrasonic movement sensor (20) is deemed to have failed. A count of such failures is kept and when a predetermined number of such failures has occurred, a warning message is displayed on the message center (22). If movement is detected in the time period, the count is reset to zero. In this way, the alarm can automatically determine whether or not the ultrasonic movement sensor (20) is functioning correctly.
