Abstract:
A cover device includes a cover that is displaced between a covering position where an upper side of a striker is covered, and an exposure position where the striker is exposed upward, and an open-close mechanism that displaces the cover to the covering position when a slide door performs an opening operation, and displaces the cover to the exposure position when the slide door performs a closing operation.
Abstract:
A system for adjusting a size of an access into a vehicle is provided. The system may include a pillar, which may be substantially vertical, and a track allowing the pillar to be moved. A latch may be attached to the pillar securing the pillar along the track. The pillar may be secured at one or multiple locations along the track. Multiple rolling mechanisms may be part of the pillar. These mechanisms may allow the pillar to glide back and forth enlarging or reducing the entrance into the vehicle from the front or rear entrances. The track may be interior to a front and rear door of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A vehicle door structure 10 includes an idling mechanism 23 which invalidates an operation of a handle 15 controlling a locking mechanism 22 in a slide door panel 14 when a swing door panel 16 is opened, the idling mechanism 23 includes an abutting portion 50 which abuts against the vehicle body 5 at a closed position of a swing door panel and a linkage controlling portion 52 which controls a linkage between the handle 15 and the locking mechanism 22, and the linkage controlling portion 52 maintains the linkage between the handle 15 and the locking mechanism 22 when the abutting portion 50 abuts against the vehicle body 5 and breaks the linkage between the handle 15 and the locking mechanism 22 when the abutting portion 50 separates from the vehicle body 5.
Abstract:
A pair of opposing hinged doors includes a first door and a second door having a first window panel and a second window panel respectively. The first window panel moves along a first path that initially guides the first window panel away from the second window panel and then guides the first window panel vertically downward when moving from an extended position into a retracted position. Similarly, the second window panel moves along a second path that initially guides the second window panel away from the first window panel and then guides the second window panel vertically downward when moving from an extended position into a retracted position. The movement of the first window panel and the second window panel along the first path and the second path respectively allows for the first door and the second door to be independently openable relative to each other.
Abstract:
A vehicle includes a support structure. The vehicle also includes a side door operable to move relative to the support structure between an open position and a closed position. In the open position of the side door, access to a vehicle interior of the vehicle is provided. In the closed position of the side door, the side door extends across a longitudinal centerline of the vehicle. The vehicle further includes a plurality of pivot members, each pivotably coupled to the support structure at a first end and pivotably coupled to the side door at a second end. The side door is movable between the open and closed positions via pivotal movement of each of the plurality of pivot members relative to the support structure and pivotal movement of the side door relative to each of the plurality of pivot members.
Abstract:
A vehicle door device includes first and second link arms each having a first pivot connection point with respect to a vehicle body and a second pivot connection point with respect to a door of a vehicle; a door side fitting portion provided at a closing side end portion of the door that opens and closes a door opening portion of the vehicle based on an operation of a link mechanism formed by the first and second link arms; and a vehicle body side fitting portion provided at a closing side end portion of the door opening portion with and from which the closing side end portion of the door comes in contact and separates based on an opening or closing operation of the door.
Abstract:
A device for moving at least one door leaf, includes a fixed beam that is fixed to the frame, a moving beam that is connected to the fixed beam by swinging rails which allow it to move transversely with respect to the axes of elongation of the fixed and moving beams, a motor which drives the leaf in a movement parallel to the axis of elongation of the moving beam and which, during the swinging of the leaf, also drives a drive cam which is provided with a slot in which there is engaged a pin that is fixed to the fixed beam, and a central roller which is connected to the moving beam and circulates in a groove in the fixed beam during the movement of the leaf.
Abstract:
A closure assembly is provided including a closure having a closure hinge, a closure hinge cover and a linkage between the closure and the cover. When the closure is in a closed position, the cover extends in a plane overlying the closure hinge. When the closure is an opened position the cover is displaced to an open position to allow the closure hinge to pass through the plane that the cover assumes when the closure is closed.
Abstract:
An interchangeable door system (IDS) having a central axis and at least two different opening configurations defined by corresponding different locations of the central axis. The system comprises a wall formed with a wall opening having a circumferential rim and a surface pre-formed with at least a first and a second surface-port. The first and second surface-ports are located along the circumferential rim at locations spaced apart from one another along a direction transverse to the central axis. The system further comprises a door having an outer contour corresponding in shape and dimensions to the opening and being adapted for revolving about the central axis, thereby opening and closing the wall opening. The door is pre-formed with at least a first and a second door-port, the door-ports being located along the outer contour at locations corresponding to the locations of the first and second surface-ports. The system also comprises an interchangeable door arrangement (IDA) adapted to provide selective engagement between each door-port and its corresponding surface-port, forming an engaged port-pair whose location defines the location of the central axis, to thereby bring the central axis into a location of the engaged port-pair, so as to allow the door to operate in the different configurations.
Abstract:
A door hinge device for a vehicle enables a stable opening and closing operation of a door, in the vehicle without a B pillar, in which a fixing latch portion configured in a hinge slider restrains a striker fixed to a case and fixes a slide movement position of the hinge slider, in a state where the hinge slider connected to a hinge portion of the door slidably moves in a diagonal direction outside a body along a rail inside a case and secures a rotation trajectory of the door.
