摘要： A height adjustable support comprising a threaded support channel a cylindrical support post, positioned within the support channel and at least one saddle brace positioned within the support channel and to partially surround the cylindrical support post. In the present invention, the downward force resulting from the weight of the equipment results in static friction between the saddle brace and the cylindrical support post that is sufficient to hold the equipment surface at a desired height. The height adjustable support may be implemented into hygienically designed food processing equipment to eliminate undesirable bacteria harboring surfaces and to improve height adjustability of the equipment.

A rimguard may be rotatively coupled with the external sleeve so that as the external sleeve is rotated to the first vertical position, the bottom rim of the external sleeve rotates relative to a rimguard inner surface and a rimguard outer surface does not rotate relative to the support surface.

The caster wheel apparatus of the present invention provides a yolk frame having a pivot pin connected to and extending through the yolk frame. A wheel frame has one end pivotally connected to the yolk frame and a second end rotatably connected to a wheel. An elastic member has a first retainer connected to one end of the elastic member and a second retainer connected to an opposite end of the elastic member, wherein the first retainer is connected to the pivot pin in the yolk frame to allow the elastic member to pivot with respect to the yolk frame. Means for adjusting the vertical height of the wheel is provided by adjusting the angle of the wheel frame relative to the yolk frame.

A wheeled base provides mobility to the device. A post and lifter arm support the patient during the transfer. The post is connected to a stabilization arm, which temporarily connects using a stabilization interface to a stabilization bracket. The stabilization bracket is typically attached rather permanently to a wall, ceiling, or other structural feature that provides substantial stability to the system. In various embodiments, the lifter arm may be actuated by hydraulics, the stabilization arm may be extendable, and a pair of extra wheels on the mobility base are adjustable horizontally (e.g., along one hedge of the base frame) or vertically (down to decrease the load on the casters, or up to allow the lifter to be “crabbed” sideways in confined spaces).
